Celebrate 15 Years of World of Warcraft With New Alabaster Mounts!

Only if I knew that the money was going to a good cause. Like a bonus for Blizzard employees within an expansion that it genuinely feels like they’re trying to produce a solid product that looks to entertain the players. Not keep them on a treadmill. Or a charity organization.

Some of the mounts on the store right now look great. But I’ll never give them money for it because I know the seed of where it comes from is greed. And not from the developers themselves but the people higher up.

I would assume it’s a limited time thing

but wow has had vendor mounts since the very begining, why it is suddenly not fine?

Whatever it is a great mount!

the three mounts you can earn ingame will be in november with the actual event.

Hm… not a fan of this look. I’ll pass

These mounts, no. The Deathwing mount, yes.

Another rep gated mount, which apparently the bee is going to be. Just what BfA needs, another reputation grind.

I’m not saying store mounts are good, rather pointing out that regardless if it’s for charity or not, Blizzard still comes out on top. Saying Blizzard Greedy Bad while turning around and praising them for a charity sale doesn’t really change the level of greed between A and B. If anything, it can be seen as Blizzard profiteering off whatever issue they are hiding behind.

IMO I dislike store mounts. 40 dollars for expansion + 15 dollars a month really stacks up. Frankly, with how many awful Alliance mounts we’ve gotten in BFA stacked against the creative store mounts, I find it very offputting and distasteful.

Using gold to cash in WoW tokens isn’t really a solution either (and the person who sold the tokens is the one who “paid” for the mount), as in the end it’s not about the money, it’s about the philosophy behind the in game store. I believe that, for a game that is monetized via a subscription model and a bi-yearly 40 dollar expansion update, an in game store is repulsive and detrimental to the overall player experience.

Wait a second here, earlier you said they were free! now you have to earn them… So what is it? Free or earn? lol

BfA has pushed all the "has been a normal thing since the very start of the game"
to the extremes with time invested it takes to get.

because you have set a new level of low. You said “i have to be subscribed, that means its not free” that means even the horde bike which you got for logging in was not free in your logic.

has it? remember back when you had to get every rep on every charecter to be competitive, and there was no catch up mechanics, and no way to help your alts? If you got netherwing drake on your main, then wanted to on your alt, it was a brand new grind, with all the exact time. Aww man all that gold cost, and time gating, so totally not extreme.

It wasn’t. You had to have an active subscription fee to get it. Not sure what the misunderstanding is there.

Since mounts are account wide lets all disregard how much of a slog some of the faction mounts are. Ok, sounds fun.

Mounts were not account wide back then…

Talking about BfA… the expansion we are now playing…

which rep grinds are far faster and less time consuming then TBC’s were for example? To this day i still haven’t redone orgrilla because of how cancerous it was.

Some people seriously are devolving by the looks of the comments on YouTube, on here, and the countless idiotic stances the streamer culture take on this.

Faster or slower is relative. How you achieve it though, wish tabards still boosted rep in dungeons, not this WQ spam until my eyes are bleeding.
