Cataclysm Character Not an Option for Forums

My Cataclysm Classic Hunter, that shares the same name as the Era character I copied, is not an option in the Change Character window. I have read other posts about this issue, is the only solution really to delete my Era character? Is there no other way?

No. There is no requirement to delete another character to allow you to use one on the forums. That another character from another version of the game exists with the same name is not at all a factor.

The forums simply do not always list every single character that might be on the account, though it should list those that were recently logged into. If it is not, that would be a bug and should be reported in the Website Bug Report forum.

Thank you for your response. I have made a post on the Bug Report forum per your instruction, the Hunter has been my main for Cataclysm Classic and I play on it daily.

I would like to note that I reported this issue in the website bug report forum over 2 years ago and the problem also still exists for me too.

On forum, Classic characters being pulled from wrong game version

I’m not sure if this is the place for this question, but now most of the classic characters listed for myself in the character selection here on the forums are being pulled from “WoW Classic” and not “Wrath of the Lich King Classic”. Example: this character is showing as a level 30 male human instead of level 74 female human. The characters in question are on Bloodsail Buccaneers. Of the characters high enough level to post, only “Grivlam” and “Kanthalis” seem to be showing the correct version…

I would like to note that I reported this issue in the website bug report forum over 2 years ago and the problem also still exists for me too.

Unfortunately, it’s one of those persistent issues that is difficult to reproduce and therefore figure out the “why”, which helps create a more lasting resolution. Thanks, all!
