I kind of agree. I think they will try to restart the trilogy but I think it will flop this time. Once it flops the brass at blizzard will say to us, “see we told you you didn’t want classic” and they will go back to selling store mounts on retail. Basically if they don’t do classic plus now it will be too late so we all need to get on them about classic plus. They already have the job 3/4th done so it won’t take alot of resources. They should take a good hard look at turtle wow and what they did over there and realize there is a legit market for new vanilla stuff.
Yeah I agree, Ragnaros was an exception. The rest of Firelands was easier on 25 man mostly due to the AOE healing changes. A lot of 10 man fights were 3 healed, leaving only 5 dps, but you could 4 heal a lot of the 25 man fights making kill times faster and sometimes skipping mechanics.
Speaking of selling store mounts.
Since the very first store mount was sold during original Wrath, would be fitting of them to add a new shop only mount for Wrath classic? Or does the boost mount already accomplish that?
Needing 10 people to not mess up for 6 minutes is also easier than needing 25 people to not mess up for 6 minutes.
Kinda like higher keys demanding more from any individual than a late boss mythic kill, but getting 5 people to not mess up at the same time is easier than getting 20 to not mess up at the same time.
The type of raid where three bosses in a row arn’t the same, and where you have to do more than use your MAYBE four button rotation to make sure the bosses die? Yes.
Heroic mode is just a re-envisioned version of Ulduar hard-modes. And hard modes, imo, should be * gasp * hard. Without significant changes ToGC and ICC will be not hard.
I agree. I think they had upgraded the graphics at that time too, because I tried one time to do the argent dawn 20 man raid and my computer froze through the entire first boss fight. It was a nightmare and I literally ended up quitting the game because of it. The only thing I can think of is that the raid was either poorly optimized or they upgraded the graphics, because I ran 40 man raids in vanilla with absolutely no lag whatsoever, but the wotlk ones murdered my poor computer. Part of the reason im eager to get a chance to redo this expansion now
cata is way too hard for the current classic playerbase. ppl still fail at flame wreath in kara. game will 100% die if they go past wrath.
Cata/MoP were the best PvP xpacks so yes…
PvP’ers will be playing Cata/MOP over WOTLK.
I am not sure about this anymore…
We’ll see about that, even so it’s not worse than the copy+paste of another banned WoW pirate server that deserves it for making many popups and youtube ads that bothered a lot in the videos and it will be part of its WoW plus.
thing that will not be anything original for its development and To make matters worse, he will have the nerve to have the achievement in his respective right of Thief who steals a thief…
that’s why I prefer to see the following expansions that were not successful like WotLK, also unlike Cataclsym, see WoD, BfA, SHADOWLANDS…!!! REPEAT…SHADOWLANDS…!!! It’s like Raiden says:
Cata is completely nonsensical. Certain people cling to one idea and overlook the fact that they currently have Cata in retail almost exactly as it was back then.
And yes a Classic+ would make sense, but not to further inflate an end-game spiral, that has no value anymore and is also not a real MMORPG.
Principle for a Classic+ to attract a really broad audience again:
-Reworking of the graphics
-finish all classes and skills and expand them to Lichking level.
-Focus on the game world, away from the endgame
-No solo quest system, this prevents MMORPG mechanics.
-NPC world complicate and reform and put more fitting in a more glauder world.
-Items are only accessories and underpin character development, but do not make it in any case. The character development must be done through skills and talents and here you can also offer quests to do so, partly solo, partly small groups necessary.
-Expand the conflict between the Horde and the Alliance in a credible way, ideally also redefine classes and divide them according to factions in order to define greater incentives and better affiliation.
-Items come from professions and less from bosses from instances
-Instances will be converted back to adventure zones and serve as exploration events with coolness factor and very tough mobs. They have to become dungeons again, not sport arenas with item rewards as the goal.
-At maximum level, character development continues via new specialization trees. However, not totally focused, so that you quickly overtake. These are tasks over many months with some group content that exist in high end zones championships together. But also solo play tasks to define your character. It should divide between general tasks as a group and single-player tasks that are specifically tailored to the class and motivating ways open up. It is important that it does not make itself totally the focus. It must be integrated during the world play.
-The path is the goal. This must become the basis.
-Group play in the open world with real distribution of roles must be the basis. Speed must go out and hardness must come in.
Simply create an MMORPG, not a sports game and item exchange game that kicks all MMORPG mechanics in the barrel and you play a single player work game, only to dive into the actual sports game at some point on the last level… We don’t need that anymore… It’s been excellent fabricated up and down in retail and 20 other games. MMORPGs we currently have none!
And today you can implement this so wonderfully. Anyone who thinks about getting through in an MMORPG has not understood RPG.
100% agree. If they ever announce its coming I’ll unsub the second I hear about it. It’s aggravating seeing that this survey even happened. Blizzard is so incredibly out of touch with the classic playerbase… You think everyone was lobbying blizzard for a vanilla remake so we could eventually play the expansion we all left wow because of…
Cata is coming.
Dun dun dunnnn!
Keep a Wrath Era please.
I’ll add it to the list of stuff the forums said would never happen.
The initial release of Cata was the nightmare. I remember enjoying it further in. Now MoP is something I am looking forward to 100%. WoD was when they took it way to far and just ruined so much.
Cata’s pvp was top notch what even?
Getting 2 shot in a shadowdance trinket proc was fun!
You forgot every other classes one shot. It wasn’t just rogues lol
To be blunt, I don’t particularly care either way about Cataclysm Classic - I actually quit during Cata.
However, I would like to experience Classic MoP, WoD, and Legion - having seen those zones since BFA, they give a much better impression that Cata did.
Unfortunately, the current retail experience of those xpacs is massively underwhelming because:
- they’re far too easy with level scaling;
- Chromie Time is only a small improvement, but is further crippled by the hard level limit on Chromie Time.
- and most importantly, chunks of the xpacs’ mechanics, playsyle and content was gutted at the end of each xpac.
So I would very much like to try those xpacs much closer to the Classic (original) experience.
I won’t, vanilla-wrath had superior pvp, even with the imbalances in vanilla. MOP and cata were complete garbage for pvp because they full homogenized every class where every class was the same just with different colors and animations for spells/abilities.
