Its just a video game, if you don’t like this one play another one.Not only is it a video game but its an antique of one that was made in the end of 2010-2012, we’re currently in 2024.Lots of fun looking games out there to play it doesn’t have to be this one.

There are such varied play styles and preferences among people playing this game that I feel both can be true.
Whatever and however it is that I enjoy and play this game may have more similarities when comparing Cata and Retail or Cata and Vanilla.
If you like farming TMog sets, you know which is more similar. If you enjoy leveling first aid and using bandages, you also know… etc.
At the end of the day, I’m not sure that making distinctions and/or comparisons is all that meaningful anyway. If you are enjoying the game, then great. If not, maybe do something else.

WotLK is the beginning of “retail”. Cataclysm is just full on retail, adding the word Classic in front of it doesn’t mean anything except you get to play it again.

A better expansion. Cata is awful.
You do realize the word Classic in front of the name professes that it’s just a rerelease/replay of the original right? all these threads of “end of classic” “Beginning of retail” are wooden bench IQ level takes. Classic cata just means it’s a replay of the original cata, just like classic vanilla was a replay of vanilla, classic tbc… etc… etc… “Classic” isn’t a grouped genre, it simply specifies its a replay of that specific expansion.
There is no beginning or end of a “Classic” grouping. Every Classic expansion is just that, a replay of itself. they could have a Classic Legion and it would still be a valid “Classic” game as it is a replay of the legion expansion.
If you didn’t like that expansion you probably won’t like the classic replay. Find something else to spend your time on.

Classic is subjective.
To me, classic is about replaying older versions of WoW as they were then, not some sort of design philosophy from Vanilla and the trilogy (Vanilla, TBC and Wrath).
