Casual Players have no chance with this expansion

probably because the effort required doesn’t match the reward. People aren’t going to bang their head against a wall non stop.

You may find a different type of game more up your alley with such limited time. Minecraft maybe?

A game based on a real time ever evolving world based on progression isn’t going to cater to your hour a day lifestyle.

A more realistic goal than getting a billion dollar game to cater to your specific needs is probably to just find a different game that will make you happy and feel accomplished in one hour.

Running a marathon generally requires hours of training per day, so I choose a short 30 minute walk in beautiful scenery In nature rather than pounding pavement downtown. It suits my activity level

Now after a moth i will disagree this expansion can work for casuals the problem is we were sold that it would be amazing for alts but its just okay. I have now ran about 12 toons through MAW intro and yes a pain but it went pretty smooth. As for leveling its a pain and no diff the bfa time wise. Updise i can just skip main and start earning renown. Down side still have to be 60 to do trogast also torgast is useless so for casuals unless your going after legendary or you enjoy. But i disagree casual do have a chance as a casual who plays loots of toons.

They had tokens or valor points as RNG protection for the longest time but they got rid of it in favor of pure RNG which can completely screw players over.

Let’s not even talk about the BiS memories that only drop from certain bosses and people are running those dungeons 50+ times without getting it.

Don’t you forget reforging, one the best RNG protections gone.

We all moved to Classic and its been a lot better, looking forward to potential TBC

sorry man it just looks like real life is interferring with wow

I never said I’m an expert. I implied that you aren’t. Please try to comprehend the difference.

I have no idea where you came up with the rest of this post. I never said, nor even implied, that Blizz should make any of those nonsense changes you pretended me to claim. WoW is a MMO, regardless of how long I stay logged in or what I do while I’m logged in.

Seriously, come back to reality. You’re so far off in left field that you’re over the wall & into the cheap seats.

So it’s rng like it’s always been?

no…
from a product to cost ratio 1hr a day is liek 48 cents a day to play that 1hr (which cant do much in said hr alone)

RPG’s tke time.
if u lack time you shouldnt play them as you wont get to enjoy them enough.

only competition is in PvP, the raid 1st races (unofficial), and the Mythic + competitions.

not saying you CAN’T play game only in 1hr a day…just saying extremely limiting what you will get out of said game.

TBH i use game as a $15 monthly chat service basically and only still playing the actual game to finish the story.

ONE HOUR PER DAY?

That can barely get you from Bastion to Maldraxass (sp?) to run your daily quest and a world quest and back to Bastion again.

So basically sane people…

No game should be made where people have to take 3-4 hours minimum a day to get anywhere. Its not healthy for society at all. Quite frankly it should be illegal.

No worse then those who binge watch shows 4-6 hours per night.

not going to lie, I did that with the first season for goblin slayer.

the irony of it all is that wow’s original success came from courting the casual player in comparison to other mmos of the time like everquest, ffxi, etc.

remember wrath? dont have much time to play? log on, queue for a daily dungeon – even if you dont get any drops, you get some badges to save up towards something you can use. things like that went a long way to the casual friendliness.

they seem to have forgotten that in a major way.

How?
The things they added to the game in Vanilla compared to EQ are still there and now you can see the whole game solo if you please which Vanilla didn’t have.

See: my wrath and badge of justice example.

He clearly states, how. There was alternate paths. I remember in Wrath you could convert honor to badges and send them to your alts to buy items.

Vanilla model failed. Nostalgia doesnt make dollars. Just because return Classic players know how to MIn-max and have all the gear items defined doesnt mean its a good model.

One of the best examples is the 1h sword from MC which could last for a long time or the blue pants from LBRS. These are known items so people can farm them for use repeatedly.

In SL there is no way to do that. And in truth the vanilla design was bad. The tier set was not even the best set bonuses. It was a combination of PVP 2 set and then other items.

In Wrath? The Alt paths required Dungeons for Badges. That’s what I don’t get. You don’t have to Raid. You can run 5 mans just like in Wrath to progress.

Except there is no badge system anymore. Do a random dungeon, get nothing whatsoever - not even a token to save towards something from a vendor you can use. Just wasted time, of which many casual players are limited. Whats confusing here?
