Can't use any retail character as a forum avatar

I usually post as one of my retail characters. Today, suddenly, all my retail characters are gone from the forum character list – I can only select from amongst my Classic characters. I also can’t see any character on the armory; none of mine, none of my friends’, no other forum posters that I’ve tried – they all go to a 500 error.

I’ve tried clearing my cookies and changing my account password. Is there anything else in that vein I could try? Does this sound like a me problem, or would it be something about an armory glitch?

There is a website bug currently that is causing this. It has been reported in the website bug report forum by me earlier today.

Update: I found the Troubleshooting Steps for Missing Characters on the WoW Forums post on the Website Bug Report forum and followed the steps there, and it worked. The armory is still wall-to-wall 500 errors, but I’m assuming that’s unrelated. At least I can post now!
