The other day because I completed the Fisherfriend of the Isles achievement, and did not receive the reward for it. The issue appears to be that I already completed the achievement on another character, and it only gives you the appearance once.
I created a ticket for this (ID: US101158316) and a few hours later it was marked as answered with an autogenerated response linking to some different resources. These resources did not help, so I responded saying that none of the resources helped, which reopened the ticket.
Now, 3 days later, the ticket has been marked as Answered again with another link to a generic transmog / wardrobe / collections FAQ, which does not address my issue. I tried to respond to this, but as far as I can tell, my only option is to mark the ticket as Resolved, when it is not.
I don’t mean to be rude, but it’s pretty clear nobody read my ticket thoroughly, and I just got a generic response to keep the queue moving. Can somebody please help me with this? It took me 2 weeks to do that achievement, and I would like to get the reward for it.
Thank you.
If you feel that it might be bugged, you’ll need to report it as a bug either in-game or by posting in the Bug Report forums. This wouldn’t be something that a GM can help with typically, which is why you’re getting those replies.

I’m confused. I did submit a ticket in game. Isn’t that what I’m supposed to do?
No, tickets and bug reports are different.
Theres the Bug Report forum here on the forums under the Support category header, or you can use the in-game support menu and click the button at the top that’s something along the lines of “submit feedback or a bug report”.
GMs are mostly for billing, account access, and a very limited number of in-game things. Most in-game things they used to help with have been turned into self help tools. They gave the players the GM tools to restore items for example.
Bugs are not something a GM can fix. Those get submitted to QA via bug reports (in game or on the bug report forum). Then they get evaluated, researched, documented, prioritized etc. They get fixed in the patches based on priority, impact, etc.
They don’t personally reply to bug reports or personally fix individual accounts.

It’s a little absurd that the solution to “You submitted your question in the wrong place” is not “We transferred this ticket to the department that can help you” or “Here is where this type of feedback should actually be submitted” and instead “It’s been 3 days, here is a canned response, and you can’t reply to it”
Really lousy customer experience, given that I had to come to a message board to find out the correct avenue for this, which is going to put me in another queue.
Thank you all for the guidance. I think it would have been nicer to have that response from the agent that responded to my ticket, but I appreciate it nonetheless.
Edit:
I’ve just submitted a bug ticket, and that appears to just be how you inform Blizzard that there is a problem with the game, generally speaking, not how you get actual personalized assistance. It said I won’t get a response.
What do I have to do to get somebody to look at my account and like… give me the reward for the thing I did?
I am afraid you won’t get someone to personally come change things for your account. That is not a service Blizzard offers, with rare exceptions if the Devs approve it.
I looked up your Achievement you mentioned. Fisherfriend of the Isles
While you can still do the achievement, the ability to use the colors no longer works after the Dragonflight fishing changes.
Here is the top comment on Wowhead talking about it.

A warning for anyone deciding to work on this chivie in 2024 for their legion fishing pole - Since the change to profession tools brought with Dragonflight, the color changes for the legion fishing artifact - Underlight Angler - do NOT work.
I cant pretend I know WHY. I simply can tell you I wasted 2 to 4 hours a day for 6 days, working on this chivie specifically for the color options on said fishing pole.
I found a forum post in the bug section from 2022 talking about it with no resolutions given.
So- Work on it if you want to huff copium that they might randomly fix it someday.
Otherwise, don’t waste your time unless you want the fancy bobbers. Cause that’s the only solace you will receive in finishing this achievement now.
-March 2024.
PS - Here’s the forum post for anyone that wants to necro the post like I did. Hopefully if enough people bring it up, they might slap in a fix for it.
Fisherfriend of the Isles Underlight Angler cosmetic now missing with Dragonflight tool changes - #5 by Drokahr-illidan
This was reported as a “bug” back in 2022 but it may actually not be a bug so much as something they don’t plan to fix with the new fishing gear changes. I have not come across any Dev comments one way or another.
