I literally can’t queue for anything. The drop down ONLY has “specific dungeons” as an option. Can’t queue for a dungeon I already did, it’s not even on the list. I just hit 60, but I should be able to queue for SOMETHING, even older normals from Shadowlands.
Some dungeons have level ranges, so you’ll only be able to use the dungeon finder while within those level ranges.
Outside of those levels, such as if you were 57+ trying to do Necrotic Wake, you’d be able to enter with your own group by visiting the dungeon, but not by using the Dungeon Finder tool.
There should still be a number of dungeons available at 60, but depending on your ilvl, they may not be unlocked for you. Assuming you unlocked it, you should have the Halls of Atonement available. That should unlock when you start questing in Revendreth.
I’m ilvl 131. Essentially what you’re telling me is, I have get a group to try to get into a dungeon by walking in. A lvl 60 guildie is saying they were not missing any dungeons when they hit 60. I am missing Necrotic wake and Plaguefall. He said he wasn’t missing them and still isn’t and can queue for them.
My understanding is that the minimum ilvl required to queue for a normal dungeon at 60 is 144. So basically you can’t use the dungeon finder to queue unless you outgear them and thus have no reason to want to queue for those dungeons.
This’ll help participation. Not.
Right, it’s complete garbage. I swore I could q for SOMETHING in previous expansions and not be fricking limited to use up my gametime so I have more reason to renew my sub.
So, I can’t queue to heal dungeons, because I queued to heal dungeons while leveling. I out-leveled the world content and now have to farm green quests to unlock the next dungeon, which is well below my level. My reward for healing random dungeons is being locked-out of random dungeons.
Meanwhile, DPS are looking at two+ hour queue times. Players complaining about queue times need to keep this in mind. I cannot queue to heal dungeons. I did and would continue to do so, but the game has locked me out of that content.
No, I’m saying as it currently functions, I believe if you want to enter dungeons that you have out leveled, or that you do not meet the ilvl for in the Dungeon Finder tool, you’ll need to form a group and go to the dungeon in order to do it.
If you wish to use the Dungeon Finder tool you’ll need to either unlock the dungeon, as in the case of Halls of Atonement, by starting Revendreth or by upping your ilvl to 144 or better.
Are they looking at Heroic or Normal? Both Necrotic Wake and Plaguefall are available through the Dungeon Finder tool at level 60 for Heroic. I don’t believe so for Normal.
Heck, that was the wrong button. Bah.
Simply put, that sounds more like a question you’d want to ask the developers over in General Discussion or tweeting @WarcraftDevs on Twitter.
This is absolutely stupid. I have a quest for plaguefall but since I just hit 58 I cannot try to queue for it. Actually I cannot queue for ANY dungeon. This is terrible design and I am not really a complainer. Did playtesters really not run into this at all? Not sure why a player that marginally outleveled a normal dungeon should not be able to queue for it when it is current content to them.
This has to be one of the oddest decisions, Blizzard. I thought maybe I was bugged because this system makes no dang sense. I hit 60 last night and was shocked I could not queue for any dungeons OR even queue for specific. No explanation, etc. is why WoW is considered so out of date by the MMO community and the reason subs have lapsed over the years. Please, stop letting things like this go live.
That isn’t new though. It is how dungeons and the Dungeon Finder tool has worked since it was implemented.
Dungeons have had a minimum and maximum level range and will become unavailable through the tool if you out level them. There usually is a heroic version, which is available at that expansions level cap.
If you’d like to see it work differently you can provide feedback on that functionality to our developers by posting in the Dungeons, Raids and Scenarios forum or by using the option found in the game menu under Support.
I would focus on what you’d like to see and provide your constructive opinion is, not what you believe the MMO community may think. Bringing up subs as justification isn’t useful, it isn’t even something you have any real factual data on. It’s the same rhetoric that people use to try and make a point, when the most useful information is why they personally would like something to work differently and how they’d like to see it work instead.
