Seem there is a bug with fishing anywhere within Isle of Dorn. Within seconds after I cast, the channel just stops. No errors or anything show up.
I’ve tested it on two characters with addons disabled. I’ve gone to the other zones and have tested there and I can fish just fine in Hallowfall, The Ringing Deeps, and Azj-Kahet.
Same. Fishing worked in Hallowfall, but when I went to the Isle of Dorn I had the same bug.
Same issue, it happened to me after changing zone.
Same here sadly. Logged in at Hallowfall, started fishing and can’t. This sucks 
Same issue but I can’t cast in Azj Kahet. Everywhere else seems to work fine though. Sadly this happened on the one day there is an actual fishing quest.
I just fished successfully in all 4 zones, in pools, level 70 character with Dragon isles Fishing of 5. I’m also using the Addon Better Fishing. Not doing the Fishing Derby Quest as I’m all done with that.

Having the same issue. Cast my line, and it immediately stops, as if I were taking a DoT, but no damage debuffs are present. Hearthing solved the issue for a bit, but it started again. Hearthing again solved the issue, havent broken a third time, yet.
Edit to add: This happened in Hallowfall.
This fixed itself for about a half hour and i tested all zones so i decided to start the hallowfall derby and now I can’t cast in any of the regions. This is so frustrating.
Same issue- super frustrating. Having issues in the ringing deeps, haven’t checked every area but will edit if I am.
Same, it happened to me in Hallowfall and it just randomly fixed after a while, but now it’s happening again, I also tried fishing on another toon in Mechagon and had the same issue.
Just ran across this in Isle of Dorn as well, and I’ve never seen it before. RIP getting Whispering Stargazer’s mark this week, I guess. EDIT: Aaaaand it just randomly started working again. Possibly related to the world boss being pulled? That’s the only unique thing about the zone this week.
Fishing not working for me in Hallowfall during the Fishing Derby quest. May miss my timer for the Trophy Sanguine Dogfish… 
Try another zone, you can summon it in any zone with the Bloody Perch 10-stack.

Might miss the Derby because of this. Cannot fish in Hallowfall at all, casts and then acts as if i have taken a DoT and cast is cancelled. I really enjoy fishing and this bug makes me sad.
This is happening right now to me. It began randomly.
same problem for me, except i cant fish in hallowfall. all addons off.
Happened to me in Isle of Dorn, Hallowfall, and Ringing Deeps. Disabled addons, removed all my gear – still happens.
I’m in isle of dorn right now and can’t fish. I also can’t open the disturbed earths either. With the disturbed, I click it, I see the mob spawn and as it runs towards me it fades away. The weird part is that my pet will attack it and look like it’s attacking thin air. I remain in combat until my pet kills it, but no corpse becomes visible to loot.
