This is one of the most cringe things I have read in a long time. I had to get up from my chair and walk away because I was cringing too hard.
Dude the existence of allied races as a system was specifically to scam people into accepting diluted versions of the fleshed out races. Infusing a race with a specific type of magic is stupid to begin with for a lot of reasons. This was broken a long time ago.
Lightforged Draenei and Mag’har Orcs never should have been made races.

Really they could of kept Vulpera for the Horde since they have no obvious counterpart (apart from model rigging there is absolutely no connection to them and Goblins) and given something more unique to the Alliance. Sethrak comes to mind.
None of the other “allied races” really needed to be separate.
What have all those warlock trainers been doing for all these years? Training Drain-eyes and Night Elves apparently.

Man. This is like Dark Skinned elves all over again.
Because i made a dark skinned blue eyed blood elf paladin, not because i wanted one but so i could annoy all the people complaining (turns out i love paladin and dark skinned elves, so win win)
Now i have to make a LFD warlock for the same reason? Heres to hoping i love the class xD.

For every person that cancels over this there’s probably 2 or 3 more that cancel their subs because they can’t have their favorite race be their favorite class they want in an RPG where personal expression and identity should take precedence over ‘muh lore.’ I personally cancelled when gnomes couldn’t be priests, but then resubbed when they could. This is a good change. From the very beginning some of the options and combinations have felt silly to me, all the way back to Undead being allowed Holy spells. Undead should be totally locked out of Holy and instead be Shadow only damnit!!! /sarcasm. Way back when I always thought that was ‘silly’ and illogical, but also interesting and I liked how it gave players freedom and options.
Dwarves being priest never made much sense to me either, they should instead be busy mining in the mountains or whatever - and their gruff ‘Off with ye’ personas seemed to inherently clash with what priests are all about, but gameplay wise back in the day they were one of the best classes to be priests back when priest specific racials were a thing.
I’ve wanted to make a Draenei Warlock for a long time as I’m sure many others and this keeps subs and makes people happy they can roll the combinations that they want.
I’m devastated and will miss you so much.
