Well since you have a bias and misinformed perspective of cancel culture it wouldn’t matter. Take what I said above and apply it to every person that was ever targeted for disagreeing with something or having a different political view. There’s your names.
And yet you cant even name ONE.
Calm down my fellow man.
There have been several far-right and far-left media sources that have been targeted, shut down.
Anyone not blindly following the narrative is at risk for being cancelled. I work with highly educated professionals that are afraid to speak out in regard to Covid irregularities for fear of being ostracized, bullied.
100 years from now, everyone will think that we are bunch of idiots with the cancel culture drama.
Do you think people will still be around in 100 years?
Honest question.
Depends what happens 100 yeard from now. US could split into two counties, China has completed contol of US where Constitution would be worthless, or we had nuclear war that we live in Mad Max Era. So long we remember our history, the people will see what we had done and they be shaking their heads.
We can’t even remember our history from a year ago…
The adults are arguing, and I’m over here wanting to jump off a building because all my grades are Bs.
They do remember most of them.
Blame the teacher union, they don’t give an “s” about you. They want not to go back to school and get free money.
Nahhhhh the Bs are my fault. Blaming the teacher union is just deflecting your problems to other people so that you look better
Yep. This is the point you can’t argue with people like the OP who blatantly ignore things like cancel culture. Someone’s life being destroyed for not following the narrative is just the free market working in their mind. Its typical language used to justify things some people consider evil but others don’t. 2020 is a prime example when people tried to explain how “all lives matter” is offensive now and that burning and looting businesses isn’t that big of a deal. It actually is and it is terrifying that there are a lot of people out there that have come to think this way.
Hey
B’s aren’t that bad. They’re like 4 out of 5 stars. I had B’s last year and I still am considered a good student.
Thats called “free market”.
So i guess you hate the free market now? No ones forced to use your garbage “media” source.
And i work with highly educated professionals that arent afraid.
See? I can make up anecdotal evidence too.
Sir,
Please calm down. People have different opinions on what is cancel culture and there’s nothing you can do about it.
Thats called “free market”.
I respectfully encourage you to look up the definition of “free market.”
See? I can make up anecdotal evidence too.
So you want me to doxx these people, so they can get harassed and bullied so you can feel better about your pathetic life?
You have some serious mental issues my friend, I sincerely hope you get help before you hurt yourself or others.
Lol… First you straight up lie about people you know “too afraid to speak” and then when called out, you scream about mental issues? You are truly sad and pathetic.
They are, because of Karens like you who don’t know the facts but are quick to judge.
Have you figured out what a “free market” is yet?
A free market is an economic system where production quotas, prices, and marketing are determined by competition between privately owned businesses.
The most well-known examples of “canceled” people I can think of off the top of my head would include the Dixie Chicks, Colin Kaepernick, Adam Rubenstein, Gina Carano, and Matthew Yglesias.
If you really want to get ridiculous you could throw in the likes of Mr. Potato Head and Dr. Seuss et al.
In each of these cases I guess the argument would be, was the reaction of the free market, i.e., consumers boycotting or corporations proactively trying to avoid such boycotts, or the call out that precipitated that reaction the “cancel” in question.
In any case all of these examples are of people who were before and still remain wealthier and more privileged than me or any of my acquaintances; so why should I care about any of this?
The most well-known examples of “canceled” people I can think of off the top of my head would include … Colin Kaepernick
Isn’t he making more money now than he ever would be playing football?
I’ll be honest, I don’t watch the NFL, but I heard he was mediocre at best.
