Canadian Dollar (CAD) Price Change for World of Warcraft Game Time (Excludes Subscriptions)

All Blizzard did was devalue the bnet bucks valued in Canadian dollars in terms of game time purchases by Canadian players.

So it is a loss for Canadians but only for those who buy game time with bnet bucks. All other Canadian transactions are safe and sound…at least for now.

Who the hell pays for WOW with gametime?

This is ridiculous. People are struggling as is with Covid-19, corrupt governments, world-events and now companies are increasing their prices… Netflix, Hulu, etc… Blizzard isn’t the only one but enough is enough. Your game is not worth $20 a month. Expect to see a lot of people quit because of the price hike. Unbelievable.

Is $7 billion revenue not enough? Canada is just a test run I’m assuming. Then comes the changes start slowly coming into other countries soon after Christmas I bet.

While that happened, it’s also a discount for using future battlenet bucks (via tokens) on other services.

I don’t use RL money to pay for the little stuff I do. Not worth it IMO.

I know its only for buying game time but how long till the Start Charging CANADIAN’S more for there other service’s

So unless if you’re hoarding battle net balance, you are unaffected by this change.

Why are you assuming people hoard battle net balance LOL
Are you on a crusade to defend the change 'cause you are doing a horrible job.

Its only if you buy gametime, if you have a monthly subscription it remains unchanged at 18.99.

I hoard battlenet balance, so I’m negatively impacted (for my savings.) It’s a positive for the future though cause tokens are worth more relative to other things.

And? You think I still want to support a shell of a company that put out a mediocre at best expansion and is nickel and diming their playerbase during a pandemic? No thanks.

That’s fine, I don’t, funny how that works.

Then this change basically does not affect you at all. (Slight positive I guess, if you buy realm transfers.)

Oh boy. I’m glad you guys could take time out of your busy schedule of not talking with us about Torghast balance, your baffling loot decisions, or anything else really, to stick it to our Canadian friends. The current exchange rate doesn’t support this. As with so much lately, this is something you shouldn’t do. But you’re going to anyway.

It’s not a price hike in real money, Canadian or U.S.

But they did make bnet bucks a little less valuable.

The clear message Blizzard is sending is do not park real money cash in bnet bucks. I’m sure it applies to us U.S. players (and all other players in the world) too.

How does it not affect me
We just had this discussion, for crying out loud.

How does it affect you?

BOOO. Unsubbing.
