It can’t be, because EVERYTHING in his loot table can be acquired by other means now.
The ONLY thing you can’t get is the actual Achv for killing Ordos. If you’re that much of a completionist, then … you’re not that much of a completionist or you wouldn’t have let your sub lapse.
You’re (you: general case, not you: Taurette) effectively thumping your chest about how you never quit… as you walk off the field. It’s hard to listen to that seriously.
I will end my part in this thread with what I have said, and STILL SAY about this topic as a long time, hardcore collector: after maybe 5 years, and CERTAINLY 10 years… make it available somehow, someway. Maybe BMAH, maybe a long quest… whatever it is, after FIVE YEARS, no one cares about it anymore; and if they do, it means the CURRENT state of the game is so fundamentally lacking that the players are held up by 5 year old content.
That’s a bad sign.
And the entire argument of “it’s ok to have rare things” is UTTERLY DESTROYED because BLIZZARD THEMSELVES broke that rule. It’s the kind of rule that can’t be broken just a little bit. Once it’s broken, that’s it. Game over. And… well… they did it.
Not every post. The Ordos pieces aren’t class specific. They’re generic pieces with the same look as class pieces. I said that earlier.
No… we’re saying you can’t get to Ordos.
No he wasn’t. LOL Blizz was removing the cloak requirement, because it was dumb to have a raid boss locked behind a legendary they were pulling, and the appearances are existing class sets, also available on the BMAH. Literally no one calls Ordos a Challenge Mode.
This isn’t about anyone’s feelings. I have the cloak, genius. I kill Ordos all the time. Stop trying to make crap up and cause drama.
Ordos transmogs aren’t a status symbol. They’re the same pieces from class sets, just not class locked. And they exist on the BMAH.
I was making a general case about items that have been removed, not specifically the Ordos ones. I thought that was more obvious.
This I exaggerated to make the point: there were more than enough people posting inaccurate info it needed a hard hit to the brakes. All of the lines you quoted were hyper-focusing to the point you missed the general message.
Because in the end, for all the effort you put in refuting my post line by line… did you find the one that proves Hunters can use the Shaman xmog?? gg
Fact: the cloak was going to be taken off of the requirements.
Fact: the appearances aren’t unique and can be bought on the BMAH.
Fact: he’s a raid boss not a freaking challenge mode. Blizzard never once categorized him as such.
Fact: you’re being ridiculous and acting like an elitist for zero reason. There’s nothing remotely special about Ordos. Get over yourself. You’re completely and entirely wrong.
I dont know why man. I definitely did not have the cloak with me and I was able to kill him.
Edit: I did earn the cloak during Pandaria, so maybe that is why.
Showing you missed the entire point of this thread. This wasn’t about “I can’t get transmogrification,” genius. It was “you can’t get to Ordos.”
You’re trying to create drama and trolling where there is none, because it was about whether or not the OP could get to Ordos. Not your made up bs about exclusivity when it’s not exclusive.
this problem needs to be brought to blizzards attention. quick fix and make it available for everyone to kill. especially new players who didnt play in mop… unfair for them
I have the MOP Legendary cloak, I don’t care if people kill Ordos. What kind of entitled elitist would be mad about people getting transmog from a decade old World Boss?
Frankly, I think having access to a raid boss limited to people who earned an item in the game was a Very Bad Idea. And while they had similar systems back in Vanilla of having to get attunements for things, those attunements were not made unavailable until they were ultimately entirely removed and the raids were opened for everyone.
Making a cloak questline to be able to access a raid fight and then taking away the questline so the boss fight was blocked was a very stupid idea. Why they changed their minds about removing the block I have no idea. It’s a stupid and illogical decision.
No rumours are being spread. The reversal of the promise to open up Ordos to all was said to have been problematic for some reason, so it remains only open to those with the cloak - and the ability to acquire said cloak was removed along with the entire quest chain, with Blizzard citing “I was there” as the reason.
Sure, Ordos could be considered collateral damage, but the fact remains that were it not for regular appeals to Blizzard to make stuff “like that guy I saw in vanilla wearing raid gear that made me wish I could be like him” etc etc etc, everyone would be able to enjoy that quest chain today, obtain the cloaks, and access Ordos.
