If you observe and calculate the time spent vs the price offered.
Buying the item usually works out as a profit.
Time is valuable.

And here my broke butt is always being broke cause I refuse to do anything to get gold lol
…
I’m not going to bother.
You are not choosing to consider anything I type.
Ur saying people are using real money to get gold. And using that gold to progress in game. It will never be pay to win that way because gold is literally abundant. You can buy leather and make items and sell that item to a vendor and end up with positive gold income……
If one knows about said options.
Did it ever occur to you that not everyone knows that the Garrison might still be a way to make gold? JUST by playing the mission tables?
As Elradrierion typed, just because there’s an option in game, even still, is no reason to just accept that others know about it too.
Yes but how does it affect those people ?? How does me buying a wow token to get a heroic carry affect anyone ?
Easy.
Would YOU accept a carry player if you knew that all of their gear was not earned?
They never put in the time. The deaths. The encounter time.
It’s easy to see who got carried…….
No one is debating the semantics of in-game gold acquisition. Rather the acquisition of gold through an in-game store acting as a conversion for regional currency; which is then, by constructive knowledge, known by Blizzard to be abused through player agencies in game for completing P2W transactions.
I actually did not know this, but I despise that kind of grind generally.
Depends.
Do I know them?
Do I know their ability or are they a stranger?
I’m also more prone to give everyone a chance and then boot them when they become an issue.
Really?
Cool.
Then by all means.
Until you choose to teach every single other player in game?
You choose to ignore the issue created by carries lacking the skills to back up their gear.
Which are also not badges of honor that everyone needs to play the game.
Dude not everyone wants gear, most people just want the mount and the xmog. the people that buy carries to get the achievement to get invited usually end up being kicked straight away after 1 pull
True.
However.
Would you want them in one of your raids? Or beside a raid you’re on and yet not leading?
i can confirm, im always tempted to do it again if told to stop…
my boss is threatening me everytime…
Did you see the list?
Absolutely not. They payed to bypass difficulties for a competitive advantage; effectively removing them from the viable pool of players they SHOULD be progressing with.
Take note here, because this is EXACTLY how it affects the rest of the playerbase: removing them from the viable pool of players they SHOULD be progressing with.
Sadly, it’s no wonder why the game population feels smaller and smaller.
Show me anywhere that blizzard actually encourages buying boosts. I’m pretty sure their only stance on this is that it’s allowed, and we won’t do much if you get scammed.
I’m pretty sure all of that information is in the spreadsheets Gallywix boosting community handed over. It’s likely why the player base feels no meaningful changes. The constructive knowledge gathered from the Gallywix boosting community spreadsheets is reinforced through structures in-game.
