Shadowlands is the best the game has to offer in a while. Wotlk was great, although i wasnt playing at blizzard at the time, it was my introduction to the game. Then i came to official servers in the end od MOP, so WOD was my first xpack. I loved every bit of it. I wish they didnt abandoned it half way through. Ashran was loads of fun. Raids seemed fun, although i didnt took part i anything higher than LFR, but Blizzard never get raiding wrong as its is their bread and butter. Legion was the BEST xpack i ever played and to date it id one of my all time favorites. BfA was garbage. Shadowlands til now seems to be almost as good as blizzard. Dont be doomsayers. Its still 9.0.2, we have a long way ahead of ourselves and they will fine tune and iterate to correct the xpacks shortcomings. We’ll get there. I think that what we need the most right now is the PVE vendors so everyone can have their gear farmable from the content they actually like to do. That and staff casting animations, 'cause srsly, freaking LINEAGE 2, an ancient game manage to do it back in the 90s, early 2000s, there’s no excuse to let our magic weapons in our backs and belts while casting with our hands. I wanna go all Gandalf “you shall not pass”. Gimme that, Blizzard!

12 Million in late BC & all of LK. There has NEVER been a time where the subs came even remotely close that that era, so your saying we have more subs tha wotlk is purely incorrect. Not only is it statistically wrong, but it’s VERY wrong, as there were almost 4x as many subs in WOTLK as there is now.
Nothing you linked is valid evidence.
They removed sub counts so the public can no longer see it, therefore any attempt to guess that number is useless as most of the data being gathered here is nothing more than 3rd party sites clickbaiting just like that Bellular video.
Clickbait? I think some of these sites and people are more wide awake and aware than you want to give credit too. Been playing since 2007 and EVEN I will admit there are issues and glairing problems the company better get a hold of before it gets even worse. As many have said friends lists are once again empty guilds are collapsing. Content is bone dry and uninspiring as can be.
Even I who use to play for hours and hours now just log in to do dailies and run some mythics cause I can honestly admit I am bored nothing in this expansion inspires me to keep playing.
I don’t like being so weaker than a level 50 I don’t like the scaling issues and I sure do not like how loot has been cut off. People are unhappy and are leaving that is the issue people better start looking at cause the game is heading in the direction of Wildstar and yes I admit this too ION and loyal followers need to go as well and get some people back incharge who care about the overall health not just his precious raids and mythic e sports.
This expansion is the worst of all time. 41% loss of subscribers. All the realms I play one are dead even ones that say “high” population.
Bliz removed subcounts because they cratered and were no longer brag worthy. No king rules forever and WoW was never going to hold on to those golden era numbers.
However, BFA and Shadowlands have been bad. If not for Classic, and the upcoming TBC, numbers would be a lot worse.
Wouldnt say its the best at the current moment.

I do agree with the ‘stop hating on Ion’ part. You should never direct hate, insults, or the like towards the team. Focus on the parts of the game you don’t like, not the people who made them.
I know the OP is trolling but I think its a great expansion with some fundamental flaws that are just killing it.
The fact that they treat mythic plus like an actual form of content when they are making money off the MDI, but not when they made the rewards model for it is one of the biggest offenders in my book.
However leveling low level alts because you cant get gear from m+ is probably the best its ever been.
I don’t agree with personal insults about Ion or dehumanizing him. But that shouldn’t insulate him from ever receiving criticism either. If a single person is sinking a company, maybe it’s time to hire someone else to do the job.
I mean it definitely taught me the final lesson WOD didn’t about pre ordering that’s for sure, so they won’t have to worry about my pre order (assuming I get future expansions even) in the future.
