DK can die, they don’t move 5 times more than me, they don’t have vanish, their HP moves.
Rogues don’t, thats why chains of ice is fine for dks but is not fine for rogues.
For sure, I’d rather see DKs compensated in another way or other specs get nerfed if mobility is an issue for dks having uptime.
The constant arms race of more mobility with more slows and gap closers is getting old.
When and where did I say this? I said move 50%+ slows to a CD, I didn’t say remove poisons. Ya’ll don’t read.
We need to tone down the movement speed then.
No but the thing is my Masters Call Ability went on cooldown like it was successful. You’d think if the pet wasn’t able to use it that it would just not work when pressing the button. Like for example if my pet is feared or stunned I can’t use my Pet stun ability on an enemy. Not sure but I think it’s bugged out and Rogue slows are ignoring Masters call freedom.
Yea this has happened a few times now in Arenas, I’ve only ever noticed it in 2s though when I’m playing with my Ret duo. And it’s only ever happened against Assass rogue.
I guess it’s not wow if people are asking for things they suck at handling to be removed
Just say you want the game to be unfun and that 90% slows are actually good for the game.
This has nothing todo with being able to ‘handle’ it or not.
Bladestorm is the most annoying. Disengage moves the slows and before you’re even out of it it’s reapplied.
Just say you can’t handle being bad
Honestly not the response I thought you’d toss my way. =/
Oh well…
if you want to get rid of slows, then you need to standardize everyone to only move 100% movement speed and remove all movement boosting abilities. otherwise melee will never be able to stay in melee range.
even now with all the slows, if you pick a true melee build the amount of server lag makes it difficult to stay on top of someone.
I just want to reduce the number of slows that are greater than 50%. And for sure, if we need to tune the game around that, then so be it. PvP should be about good positioning and the games current design continues to etch away at that.
that means if i grip you, no traps, no disengaging, no kiting, you stand there and let me hit you and we see who has the better DPS vs EHP model.
??
This is the first expansion that we have had so many slows above 50%. I’m just asking for less of them. This isn’t complicated.
Like you can still have ALL the slows, just cap them at 50% and if mobility has to be addressed elsewhere, then so be it.
the main issue with PVP these days isn’t that some slows are oppressive, that’s fine because they have always been oppressive, its that everyone gets the same toolkit for M+ representation balance reasons. its not just the DK slowing you anymore.
at a certain point i have to ask why doesn’t DK get stealth, why can’t DK fly, why doesn’t DK get divine shield. if everyone else gets a toolkit based on movement and positioning control, DK should get everyone else’s toolkit and perks as well.
We all have different opinions on this one. Certainly plenty of issues we could raise. That we have multiple classes that have access to a 90% slow is a problem. It’s quite literally slowing the game down and making players tunnel more and move less. I see shadow and locks just setting up camp in the middle of the map because they can. It’s like pulling teeth to try and get them to push in.
Then on the opposite end of the spectrum you have dragons doing figure eights and stunning everyone while being completely immune to cc.
All I’m saying is there is a happy medium in there and we are going to the far extremes and it’s making the game worse. The majority of this stuff has 0 PvE impact.
There has been a proliferation of slows that exceed 50%.
- Rogues, Shamans, and Mages can all talent into making their default slows 60%.
- Then mages have the option of making their roots fade into 90% slows.
- Then there’s the frost rng roots which are just aids on top of aids.
- Then there’s the dk 90% aoe slow.
- Then there’s the aoe shiv 80%+ who tf even knows slow.
- Then there’s the bladestorm 60% slow.
- Then there’s the piercing howl 70% slow.
- Then the evoker 80% slow.
- The mm hunter 70% slow.
- The 13 different dr hunter roots.
- The lock 70% slow on curse cd.
- +Who know what else I am forgetting.
Yeah it’s all a bit much and creates a giant mess of slows and roots. I feel it hard doing Blitz on my demo lock as I waddle around chasing everyone. Imo there should be a very select few slows that exceed 50% and are awarded to certain classes where it actually fits their kit and fills a cc void (dk being a prime example).
this has always existed, but it was competitive with other talents. generally i took for epic bgs and that was it, nobody else ever took it. now with defile and rot and wither actually showing on the meter its a more reasonable talent to take.
its also only 90% at first and loses 10% per second.
there is also the fact that some of the staff at blizzard obviously make balance calls based on their personal classes and skill levels. any idea that blizz was impartial and made balance changes for the health of the game went out the window years ago.
Hard not to laugh because there are so many more.
- Turbo Fists - 90% WW slow
- No Escape - Shadows 70% slow with Entropic Rift
- DK pets just following you around casting chains
It’s really crazy how many there are now.
No it hasn’t.
That isn’t happening. I mean, I wish it was, because at least they would be seeing first hand what’s going on. There was a time when maybe that was a thing, but I highly doubt any of the devs play this game other then basic testing. If they did do actual testing, tons of stuff would never make it to live.
