Rogues tossing out 66% slow on an entire team is absolutely one of the dumbest things this game has ever vomited out. Same goes for DKs. It’s so stupid. Having to literally crawl everywhere is incredibly unfun. It’s just absolutely maddening to not be able to connect to target for half the game because of slows.
I agree, i think snares in general have gotten ridiculous, i think hero talents added ALOT of new passive ones. this is definitely a change id like to see.
Doesn’t even need to be pruning. Just cap slows at 50%. It’s incredibly unfun to just waddle everywhere for an entire match. Not a single global spent on slows and everyone is slowed. That and chain of ice hitting multiple targets. The stupid following you around. WTF is this trash. I seriously don’t get why more players are legitimately irritated by it.
It’s so dumb. I just got out of a match with an assassin rogue and everyone is just crawling everywhere. Meanwhile, he’s tossing out garrote on everyone and then I’m sitting full stuns and doing 1/3 their damage. AT LEAST let me connect on some targets. Pair that with the dragon he was playing with and I’m not touching anything. It’s bad. It’s not fun. I don’t even care how strong or weak my spec is, I just want to actually have meaningful uptime on targets no matter what I’m playing. Or just be able to move in and toss out some heals or do anything.
Arena was built on positioning and they are taking that away from us because we cant effing move.
Assassin already feels busted. Seeing them maintain 600-700k (on 3 targets*) in some matches. Openers with garrote on everyone. Spamming fans is the most tired build this game has ever offered up.
Just checked. 20 fan of knives in a 2 minute match. I really need to find a way to mute that.
probs bc we decided to give every spec every single thing that ever existed for that class all at once with DF talents, and then also add more ‘wowwie!’ abilities on top of that w/ tww talents, pvp talents, etc. Its all out of control. especially aoe pulsating annoying crap
Come on dude. You’re missing the point. It’s literally about the health of the game. There is ZERO reason to have the amount of slows we have right now. What I’m playing doesn’t matter.
I’m not asking for that. 66%-90% slows vs just keeping things at 50%. If they want a slow greater than 50%, make it a unique CC. There is just too much. Even leveling through bgs on my priests is unfun. Watching DKs take some specs out of the game is eye rolling.
Some weird stuff happens with Rogue slows as well. I used Masters Call the other night and Freedomed myself from the slow…but it literally did nothing, went on CD and didn’t make me immune to slows for 4 seconds after use. I was slowed the entire game and the only thing that prevented it was my Ret pally partner using Freedom.
The fix is ez. Apply the tank handicap to slows: Slows are only 60% efficient in PVP.
90% slow becomes a 0.9*0.6 = 54% slow. Most of the 60-70% slows become 36%-42% slows.
Slows still serve their functionality, without being incredibly annoying. They can fine tune this modifier until everyone is happy or to generate more FOTM metas.
The games been out 20 years, the average arena player is much more competent with all of the available information, addons, and availability of practice(shuffle). Games used to be decided by mastery of CC, but now the game has evolved to where CC is commonplace, hence games coming down to dps
