wod s1 let combat rogues kidney for something like 8 or 9 seconds by combining deeper strategem with a finisher empowering debuff called revealing strike. this happened in mop too but deeper strategem was a pve set bonus & nobody really played combat. it was nerfed either halfway through s1 or at the end of it.
i imagine this is similar to what oppress is doing no? long kidneys?
Instead of decreasing slows why not increase base moment speed in PvP?
Don’t worry, you could probably double it and you will still feel like you are crawling around this game.
Everyone would get the same increase. It doesn’t really change anything other than it not feeling terrible trying to get anywhere on a map.
Even without snares applied, movement in this game is snail speed.
yeah i remember that and thinking it was weird as i’m pretty sure after wod they said something about kidney not being able to exceed 6s in pvp or something.
I like these kinds of things tbh. Especially purge / dispel stuff as it generally requires gcd management/ awareness on top of it. Gives that read/reaction speed vibe if you can play around it. Going back to cata has me working on my interrupt speed to catch the monkey blind / prekicking more often. Always loved the microsecond gameplay personally. Purging NS, whatever have you.
Have snares become as irritatingly frequent as spell interrupts?
Time for precog for snares! If someone tries to snare you while you aren’t moving, you get blessing of freedom for 3 seconds. You will spend most of your gameplay trying to “bait” this effect, just like spell precog. Fun fun!
