Hell no
04/21/2018 06:32 AMPosted by PlumExcept for Starman who wants to mog a BIS helm to a lower tier bird head, I just don't get it. (Not that I get that, either.)
I stated I don't want mogging in Classic, but I understand why. Just because the antlers are BiS doesn't mean they look good. It looks freakin' stupid. I hated wearing it in vanilla. I'd rather mog the T0 set.
Brox didn't look like a clown when he stood before Sargeras himself! He didn't even notice his legendary weapon. All he saw was an enemy that he must attack! Live or die! He was a warrior true!
Before that he stood as a lone warrior against every legion demon trying to come thru that portal. He didn't pick that battle based on their gear or power level.
He picked that battle because they were an enemy and he was a warrior! Pretty simple.
Against all odds!

I’m an occasional min/maker, but in Classic I’ll just wear what looks good. As long as I’m not dead last on the meters, I’d rather look good.

I lol'ed. back to legion u!
Transmogs ruined the sense of individuality I had back in vanilla. It felt good to have a mix matched set of all of the different gear i had gathered over the course of the game.
No changes.
No changes.

Why do you need to use transmog? All you have to do is not use it, if that’s how you really feel.
It’s an honest question. I actually stopped using it myself for the most part, for that very reason. That being said it’s still nice to be able to mog a piece here and there.
People say that the gear you wear is supposed to reflect your achievements.
Except that doesn't work as the game progresses because you can't wear your past achievements if you want to. That's the point. Maybe today I feel like wearing my T3. How many people actually have T3 that didn't buy it off the BMAH? Not many. Same reason why I use my Mini Diablo or my Blizzcon Bear.
But people can't understand why they mog?

I wear my boots proudly thank you!
dont feed the troll
04/21/2018 03:44 AMPosted by TezaThought the game was ally versus horde?
The immersion is attacking the hated faction on sight! Not looking at their gear and running away like a little girl or knowing you have a power advantage!
Where is the honor in this kind of battle? No true warrior would pick their battles this way. We throw caution to the wind and rely on our abilities and skills!
^^^Real immersion^^^^
So in reality not having tmog actually removes even more immersion.
A smart warrior picks his battles, or he dies young. In out-of-character terms, if vanilla was more like a fantasy world instead of a game, you can bet that people wouldn't be suiciding into the enemy because their characters would actually be dying.
In vanilla, you are a foot soldier in an army of fellow soldiers, not Rambo, not Chuck Norris. If you see someone in greens and blues, sure, try to take out his !@# solo. If you see a badass in T3 or a group that you can't handle alone, call up some buddies and ensure that red is dead. This is an MMO, not a freakin single player game! FOR THE HORDE

Don't forget you are a man struggeling to rid the world of evil, be a proud warrior!

Aragon, Jon snow, and Leonidas would all make that charge. No matter the odds!
So make sure the odds are always in your favor got it. Sounds like chicken snot to me. Where is the challenge in that?
Sounds like it will get boring af playing like you're suggesting. Wait for an advantage.... that's not what a warrior of the horde does.
Death with honor is better than living as a chicken snot....LOK'TAR OGAR
Victory with honor or death...

Which is why your argument for Tmog is invalid it's a personal experience.
in real life cardboard and foil can be used to make what looks like plate armor, with cardboard being the base frame and the foil being polished on the outside of the cardboard (held on by glue usually) and it looks like plate armor, but it is not players armor.04/20/2018 09:21 AMPosted by Anitharia04/20/2018 09:20 AMPosted by Starman...
Yes, it's obvious it's not plate. It can't be any more clear than that.
You keep thinking that.
Get it through your head that you can make something LOOK like something else without it actually being that.
to be fair at end game once you were somewhat deep into the raiding scene there was no individuals based on class tier set you all looked alike.04/21/2018 06:31 PMPosted by CalvarcusTransmogs ruined the sense of individuality I had back in vanilla. End game transmogs are nice, but because of the impact on economy and gold farming locations (which will effect leveling) I am against transmogs.

Yup. For some reason these people want to make transmog look bad.

I feel the same on both counts. I'd love to be able to mog my gear in Classic, but I don't want the economy to suffer because of it.

Transmogs is a nice feature to have for customization, but it's effect on the economy, and in turn gold farming, and then from there the leveling experience makes it not worth it.
