Can we keep transmog in Vanilla?

You keep thinking that.

It's what the tooltip says. You can argue but you look like a fool. I posted the link. It's cosmetic.

Slap "cosmetic" on plate armor and everyone can wear it rather than design cloth/leather/mail/plate variants for each class.

"cosmetic" cuts development costs.

I guess you have issues with the fake Thunderfury?

It's just a fun item.

You totally missed the point. I don't see how it could be anymore obvious.

Nice deflection. Jut admit you misspoke and move on. Mages can't mog actual plate.

OMG

...

Yes, it's obvious it's not plate. It can't be any more clear than that.

You keep thinking that.

lol you two are killing me.
You're gonna wear that clown suit and you're gonna love it!
/shrug.

I can't say I care about it either way. Transmog wouldn't be a make or break thing for me.
Dude, you don't get it.

People liked to RP guards. That's why Blizzard made THAT specific set cosmetic. It's not rocket science and it's not confusing.
Good of you for brining this up, but I think transmogging was the worst part of new wow. Everyone these days has crazy, out of the ordinary gear that means nothing to anyone anymore. I think it ruined the hard to achieve loot satisfaction and took out the sense of meaning to the game. Good to talk about this though.
No transmog.

It means something to the people wearing it. Once in a while I like to break out the T6 on my mage or the T3 on my druid (yes, I have T3, no I didn't buy it).

What's funny about people against mogging is that they say "what you wear represents what you earned".

THAT'S. THE. POINT.

It's probably the best change ever put into the game and is one of the only things that wouldn't change how the community interacts with one another, the way a built in quest helper, or LFG system might. Simply adds a little fun and flavor to your character.

The only change i will accept is to up the graphics because it can be toggled off.

Anybody that PVPs knows that you have to start from somewhere. You don't just show up at your first Battleground in full PVP gear set and weapons. I hope you are not one of those players that ridiculed people in the starting cave in Alterac Valley over their gear.

No, but I knew enough to gear up before I went in there.

Oh? Because we are talking PVP gear here my friend, not you getting some blues outta Stratholme or elsewhere. So either you showed up in PVP gear or you didn't. As for myself, I showed up with Jack and had to grind battlegrounds for gear.
Yes, we can and they will.

Brockthorn that sounds kinda neat.

I can take or leave the armor dye.

Transmog breaks immersion.

No it doesn't. It adds to immersion. Most players want to look thematically appropriate for their spec and class, while matching. Gameplay and story segregation is a thing, and the armor system is no different. A cosmetic wardrobe system only adds to immersion. Just ask the RPers who make prolific use of it.

There’s a lot of truth to this statement. Are you more immersed in the game world when you look like a clown, or how you perceive your class fantasy to be?
I would argue the second.

Maybe if I am RPing as a clown?
Thought the game was ally versus horde?
The immersion is attacking the hated faction on sight! Not looking at their gear and running away like a little girl or knowing you have a power advantage!
Where is the honor in this kind of battle? No true warrior would pick their battles this way. We throw caution to the wind and rely on our abilities and skills!

^^^Real immersion^^^^
So in reality not having tmog actually removes even more immersion.

Yes, we can and they will.

Can't, won't.
I'd like to see these transmog sets people are going to use before hitting level cap.

Except for Starman who wants to mog a BIS helm to a lower tier bird head, I just don't get it. (Not that I get that, either.)
