Transmogs is a nice feature to have for customization, but it's effect on the economy, and in turn gold farming, and then from there the leveling experience makes it not worth it.
Learn to read an entire post instead of nitpicking one part and saying "go back to retail".
Even if it has no impact on the economy, it has other severe flaws in the game that I'm sure you've read over and over again.
Transmog is a garbage system and has no place in an mmorpg like classic.
You can stay on live with him too.

Except that doesn't work as the game progresses because you can't wear your past achievements if you want to.
Sure you can. You just, you know, equip them.
...
You keep thinking that.
in real life cardboard and foil can be used to make what looks like plate armor, with cardboard being the base frame and the foil being polished on the outside of the cardboard (held on by glue usually) and it looks like plate armor, but it is not players armor.
Get it through your head that you can make something LOOK like something else without it actually being that.
In Classic WoW you can't.
and is one of the only things that wouldn't change how the community interacts with one another
This is objectively false.

Log into Classic and show us how you can't. Oh wait, you can't because Classic doesn't exist yet.

A smart warrior picks his battles, or he dies young. In out-of-character terms, if vanilla was more like a fantasy world instead of a game, you can bet that people wouldn't be suiciding into the enemy because their characters would actually be dying.
In vanilla, you are a foot soldier in an army of fellow soldiers, not Rambo, not Chuck Norris. If you see someone in greens and blues, sure, try to take out his !@# solo. If you see a badass in T3 or a group that you can't handle alone, call up some buddies and ensure that red is dead. This is an MMO, not a freakin single player game! FOR THE HORDE
Aragon, Jon snow, and Leonidas would all make that charge. No matter the odds!
So make sure the odds are always in your favor got it. Sounds like chicken snot to me. Where is the challenge in that?
Sounds like it will get boring af playing like you're suggesting. Wait for an advantage.... that's not what a warrior of the horde does.
Death with honor is better than living as a chicken snot....LOK'TAR OGAR
Victory with honor or death...
It’s kind of typical. You see it all the time. It’s /wave till their in a group or it’s a sure victory.
Cowards. All of them.
My Hunter on pserver was born along the felfarren river, and was only six when the Orcs came and did Orc things to her family.
All Orcs are kill or attack on sight for her.

Which is why your argument for Tmog is invalid it's a personal experience.
Then that makes the argument against it invalid as well. It's a personal experience.
Personally looking like a clown doesnt fit my idea of an honorable battle hardened warrior orc.

I was only 7 seasons when the human and night elve rogues burned our pig farm north of the cross roads in the barrens.
They used stealth and treachery on pig farmers.
They killed my family stole anything they could use and left me for dead because I dared to defy them.
My grandsire said I have the blood of the frostwolfs on my mother's side.
A tale too long for this little campfire but along the way i was forged into a warrior.
That is why all humans and nightelves are kos. Always will be.

to be fair at end game once you were somewhat deep into the raiding scene there was no individuals based on class tier set you all looked alike.
End game transmogs are nice, but because of the impact on economy and gold farming locations (which will effect leveling) I am against transmogs.
I feel the same on both counts. I'd love to be able to mog my gear in Classic, but I don't want the economy to suffer because of it.
As was pointed out though it can be implemented so it does nothing to the economy.
It can be just a gold sink. Make the looks purchasable from a tmog vendor.
It gives no value at all to drops. No one will farm drops. No one will charge ridiculous prices unless it's the vendor.
So no one will be ruining runs for looks either.
For that matter just give us dyes bought from a vendor. So I can roll everything black and red. Then those claiming this PvP power assessment cowardice can run when they see my big black thunderfury chasing them down.

I love how you took out half my sentence and ruined the context. Typical no-changes.

just because I didnt mention every aspect of how transmogs would effect classic doesn't mean I'm "ignoring" those aspects my comment was based on how it effects the economy and how that in turn effects gold farming which effects the leveling process.
I never said it didn't have other effects.
Does it have SOME nice qualities to it? Yes it does, but it has plenty of aspects that make it not a good idea to implement. I don't need to list ALL of them, but the reason "it wasn't in vanilla so it shouldn't be in classic" is a flawed reason in a sense it is nestalgia based and thus based on emotion and opinion.
But I'm not ignoring any aspects of how transmogs would negatively effect classic, I gave a reason I shouldn't need to list all 7 reasons when I gave enough evidence of why it shouldn't be added.
You tell me to go back to retail, I tell you to go back to school to learn to read and reason.

I wouldn't be agaist a dye system being implimented down the line, but for now I would say no to it just because of the time it would take to implement it.

Only ones I've seen are the economy (which can be avoided. As I've shown)
It wasn't in vanilla. No but it sure was brought up enough. Sure does seem like something an RPG would have. Even UO had dyes!
The PvP opponent evaluation cowardice. (Which no one heard of until it was brought up about classic. Please correct me with a link if I'm wrong.) Just lol....
Immersion. This one is an LOL too. RPg is literally dressing up a character how you'd like them to be. So this one is just a joke.
Farming would not be affected with the skins sold on a vendor. So this one would be invalid.
Dungeons runs would not be affected either if the skins were just sold on a vendor.
So there would also be no ninjaing.
Greens on the AH would still sit there and collect dust until someone decided to level an enchanter.
Then there's the dye idea which if sold on a vendor effects nothing except the colors you see.
So yes it could be done in a way to not effect anything drastically. It's a matter of how it's implemented.
I keep hearing people are locked into a retail mindset. Those thinking this can only be done like retail are locked into a one retail track mind. Lol
the reason "it wasn't in vanilla so it shouldn't be in classic" is a flawed reason in a sense it is nestalgia based and thus based on emotion and opinion.
"It wasn't in vanilla so it shouldn't be in classic" is a perfectly valid reason, even if you do not agree with that reason.
It is not based on nostalgia, emotion and opinion anymore than "this change should be in classic because I like it". It is based on a desire to see a truer classic experience that is not watered down and bastardized with all sorts of non vanilla QOL convenience changes.
You don't have to like it or agree with it, but the fact that it was not part of vanilla is not only a valid, rational, legitimate reason not to add any specific non vanilla QOL convenience change, but it is also an undeniable, inescapable and irrefutable fact.
It's probably the best change ever put into the game and is one of the only things that wouldn't change how the community interacts with one another, the way a built in quest helper, or LFG system might. Simply adds a little fun and flavor to your character.
There was Questie, not Quest helper.
Your idea isn't bad at all.

Imo it’s a good idea, however in order to purchase it (green or blue item) you must have been able to at least roll on it(need or greed)or loot it.
Epic items must be looted to your character.
I do not want every warrior running around with ashkandi or ashbringer.
And again, NOT account wide.
I am actually aghast by how many people seem to have a need for their character to be good looking to enjoy a game.
It certainly depicts really well how our current society works nowadays.
Not being rude but i hate the idea.
