Can we keep transmog in Vanilla?

I dont know how transmog works since I quit long before it came into the game. One thing I wouldnt mind to see is more textures added to Vanilla. They rehashed several skins for a lot of the same objects. Increasing the amount of variety of skins would be a nice addition. No transmog, just drops.

You are NOT remembering vanilla at all here.

Sure I am. I didn't step foot into BGs until I was geared in at least blues. I didn't get my Sergeant Major title from not knowing what I was doing.

I started bg's at level 19 and I certainly wasn't decked out in blues.
My first "blue" was the WSG cape/ring/trinket (can't remember) that I bought with honor.

Throwing titles around ? I made Master Sergeant before they ended it.
Can't keep something that never existed in the first place.

Greens, Blues, and Epics that arnt needed as gear becomes enchants. Not part of your barbie wardrobe.

If you want to make your undead rogue look cute than play retail.
Is this a comment supporting or against transmog? Because if I keep my gear to use it as cosmetic without a transmog feature I don’t disenchant the gear. With a transmog feature you can disenchant.

If the person who wins it can DE. People taking gear from others is a plague

I seriously think you never set foot in Vanilla.

LOL ok. You keep thinking that.

That's....how the titles worked.
Transmog destroyed the Auction House economy.

The Auction House economy is a core principle of Classic Wow. Your visible look reflecting your progression is a staple of vanilla Wow.

Adding Transmog would like adding flying and group finder to vanilla Wow.

To even think of adding Transmog to Classic is crazy. To make a post asking for it is comical.

It seems pretty clear you didn't. You have argued that traveling to a dungeon wasn't social. The only reasonable explanation is you never played vanilla.
What are you going to tmog your gear to look like?? Seriously. There wasn't a plethora of gear out there in the first place, and most blues/greens looked dull or silly.

Why would anyone want this?

Because maybe I like the druid T0 set instead of those stupid antlers.

and most of the gear can still be obtained in current WOW a lot easier than having to join a 40 man raid and hope for months for drops.

You might want to reread what DE does. You loot gear, you can DE it, that simple. Been that way since the beginning. Has nothing to do with transmog.

Okaaay then. LOL I don't know what to tell you Starman. Honestly I'm not crazy about any of the gear in Vanilla, but that's just me.

You can't DE stuff in the trade window, at least not when i played. You are going to be giving epics and rares to idiots for dress up while they would be better off being passed into the AH for enchants.

I say no to transmog simply because of the negative effect on an already horrid economy.

Do you think it would it make a vanilla AH worse? How come?

You would have people selling stuff on the AH based on their appearance rather than their actual item level, stats and rarity. Rarity alone already drives up the prices of certain items, so we do not need transmogrification inordinately affecting AH prices as well.

Not if the looks were purchased from a vendor as just another gold sink. Add another gold sink to actually tmog it and bam.
Doesnt effect anything any of you guys are saying.
Other than the "story" my appearance shows. Tactical advantage is more like it but I digress.
Want to know my in game story? Say hello and ask. I'll tell you and ask you yours.
Instead of stalking from a distance being jealous of my leet gear.

Oh look that sounds like community. Oh and look what else tmog encourages socializing.
Sounds kinda like a real RPG feature with vanilla like community/socialization baked in.
Thought those 3 things were the "core" vanilla principles?
That's what I keep hearing anyways. /shrug
No transmog. No changes. A finer point of PVP was knowing the gear your opponent wore. In battlegrounds people who recognized the gear would often tell the others who was geared and who was not. Could be important. Transmog changes that game play.

Wouldn't be an issue if transmog only made your appearance different to you and not global.
