If they made transmog toggable ON THE OTHER PLAYERS side, would the pro transmog folk be ok with it? Meaning, whoever wants to see your gear for what it is, gets to.
And no, I don't want transmog either. But, there's gotta be some motivation behind this transmog movement. If you don't want to stare at your ugly gear, that's fine - change it for yourself. But don't force other people to see what you want them to see. If you want to RP, then both people will have their toggles on.

Need repercussions for T-MoG as in bag space(must be on persons bags not in the bank), only useable items, 20g per item to change, and toggable.

I am ok with these repercussions.
I have yet to hear a response from the pro transmog folks about the other person's side toggle. All it seems like is that they want to be able to hide their gear. Meaning, if you have garbage gear, you should look like garbage.

I'm against mogging in Classic due to the economic issues, but I'd vote yes in a nanosecond if there was a way to get it without screwing up the economy.
Looking through old vanilla screenshots, and even back then, I hated a lot of the crap I had. That stupid leather helmet, the clown suit, etc. It would be nice if you find a piece and stick with it because you like it.
And if PvP is an issue, then make it unusable in PvP BGs or on PvP servers.
I am ok with some changes to Vanilla if it follows a very strict guidelines to fall in place of vanilla core system.
As in it has to have a major price to pay to do it and not just gold but the play or guild itself.
If you want a guild bank in classic? One bag = 5k it goes up every 5k g. Also, you must have 15 accounts /active players in the last 30 days or guild bank gets destroyed. Sounds extreme? Well that is classic.
You want T-MoG in classic. Takes bag space on toon, cost 20g per item to change, item must be same lvl or below, and only for useable item. any other good measure to make it difficult to do.
Edit: add in a secret place to be done. As in like DM west or north.
Problem solved. Allow transmog, but have it client-side.
Players can toggle on/off transmog visibility and either see the transmog gear, or not see the transmog gear for all players.
There could also be a toggle to only see your own transmog gear and not see other players' transmog gear. That way players can feel good looking at themselves and can know what other people are actually wearing.
Suggestion to the economy problem? Just allow all items to be transmog-able from ~5-10 levels or so below you. That way, if someone wants to have a piece of gear for RP for EVERYONE to see, they have to buy the gear and wear it, and people can't just transmog into the best gear for their level. If someone wants to transmog into a piece of gear that is around their level, they have to actually acquire the gear.
Vanilla didn't have transmog, but it did keep track of which weapons and armor you had Soulbound.
I have been able to transmog my swords to look like Linken's Sword of Mastery (which to this day has no lookalikes) even though I sold mine long before transmog became a thing.
I hope that the re-released Vanilla, too, keeps track of which weapons and armor you have soulbound and adds their appearances to your account's transmog options.

Has to be harder as I said above. An extreme change asking for extreme difficulty.

Why make it even harder? Isn't that going to make people run dungeons just for tmogs more? Ninja loot more? Cause prices to be higher? Are these not the same arguments against it already? Seems to me adding another layer of difficulty only enhances the things that most don't want to see.
It's probably the best change ever put into the game and is one of the only things that wouldn't change how the community interacts with one another, the way a built in quest helper, or LFG system might. Simply adds a little fun and flavor to your character.
No; you will be a Warrior, look like a clown and LOVE it. LOVE...IT.
Is there a difference between "keeping transmog in Vanilla" (whatever that means) and letting characters from Battle for Azeroth transmog their gear to look like something you gained on a character from Classic?

Unless I am mistaken, the "keep transmog in vanilla" is a request for transmog to be added to classic, not a request for items obtained in classic to be "added" to transmog collection on retail.
Neither should happen, IMO.
Classic and retail should be two completely separate and distinct games, IMO.
Yet the latter did happen in the past. I predate Cataclysm, and I got several items from Classic that are no longer obtainable, whose appearances remain available to me for transmog. I think it would be a shame not to let others get the same opportunity.

I donβt want t-moG but if it is make it hard. As certain npc in side dungeons can do certain slots with 20g per slot and you have to have item on personal bags.
If you've earned a piece of gear there's no reason not to allow your character to emulate it.
Wait that last paragraph is actually a great idea for a classic T-MoG. It would not actually effect the game much if ppl are require to hold said item in thier bags for said T-MoG and I would say usesable item as well. If blizz does it. It would make ppl roll need on gear they do not need.
I haven't played in a while and had no idea how the current t-mog system worked. I thought you needed to have the item every time you transmuted a new piece of gear. Like you walk up to the t-mog vendor and place two pieces into the window, one your "good piece" and the other you want to emulate.

The economy is already sky high on rp servers so it would just effect non-rp servers. If you required players to have the piece on their character I would bet that would fix a lot of issues since you would eliminate "collectors".
Making it unusable in battlegrounds would still cause issues with world pvp. I'm sure an addon could be made to display a characters "true" gearscore (yea i know gs isn't accurate, but I bet someone would work around that).
Kinda ironic that no changers are against dual spec because its a gold sink, but are against t-mog because its a gold sink.
