Can we just skip 9.3 I think at this point people just want a new expansion

The right time to buy a expansion: 1 year later, when the game will be at a state where should be at launch.

Right? The big game-changing feature for level 60 content is that I can finally do all 4 covenants on one characterā€¦ I already did all of their stories on different characters. I mean, cool, I can do them again, I guessā€¦

Reward structure still sucks. Nothing really interesting to do outside of Korthia still. Maybe getting more soul shapes? IDK. Will I even be able to use those in the next expansion?

No.

The next expansion needs as much time as it can get in development if we want it to be good. Itā€™s not going to come out faster if there isnā€™t a full patch cycle for Shadowlands, which means another lengthy content drought. Yaā€™ll lost your minds during the content drought between 9.0 and 9.1 so I donā€™t think you can handle another one.

If they havenā€™t realized how much they have already screwed up, nothing will.

No. But you are welcome to go someplace else until 10.0

One would have to hope they haveā€¦ All Iā€™m saying is, there is no point to ask for a new expansion, when theyā€™re literally recovering from the mess theyā€™ve created. Give them timeā€¦ I feel people sometimes forget that theyā€™re human, and a lot of them probably have a lot to take care of. Not everyone at Blizzard is at fault for the mess at hand, and everywhere I look on the forums it just sounds like theyā€™re hated as if every individual was at fault.

one way to recover is just scrapping Shadowlands as a whole and segway it to a new expansion that doesnt have every bad idea they thought of.

I think it would be much better for Blizzard to get back on track this Expansion, to lead into the next with some real hype and good will.

Noā€¦ itā€™s notā€¦ youā€™re so concerned about having systems YOU like that you donā€™t even care about any of their associates, the people that put this game together for you to play. Have you given them a good system to put in place? because Iā€™m certain majority of the people complaining have not offered a single good idea. Plus, testing new systems out during this expansion would lead to better trial and error and better systems for the future. G i v e T h e m T i m e.

And if youā€™re that unhappy with the game, unsub. Go ride a bike, play other games, and come back when the game suits you.

I mean by YOU you mean other people that decided to jump ship? Gotcha. Why do you think they suddenly pulled the ripcord after almost a year of this?

Why rush to a new xpack when theyā€™re finally making this one good? Pretty illogical. If they make SL good, gimme a 9.3, 9.4 while you make sure we dont have to wait a year post-release for 10.0 to be out of beta.

Clearly youā€™re on the same boat, you just donā€™t wanna let WoW go for some personal reason, because why else would you play a game you want to change so much? Iā€™m not disagreeing with the fact that the game needs changing, but you guys want these changes overnight, and thatā€™s simply not gonna happen.

Iā€™m interested in what theyā€™ll have to offer. Honestly speaking and this is a guess but the Nightborne, void elfand Lightforged Draenei changes Iā€™m guessing were intended as a part of the future expansion but has been brought back here as a pleaser (assuming

I think they probably do have a plan for 10.0 but we also have a fair bit of story to explore.

Why?

Shadowlands has itā€™s problems (many of which are being fixed), but Iā€™m actually having a lot of fun. Far more than I was having in BfA.

While I agree with the main thesis, the story seems set to end in 9.2.

The Jailer got his mcguffins. Heā€™s off to the Emerald City for his end game. Weā€™ve replicated the mcguffins so that we can follow him. Once there we will presumably stop his end game.

After that the story is closed. Even if they want to set up stuff for the next expansion itā€™s hard to see from a narrative perspective how that will entail another raid after the next one.

Not exactly. Thereā€™s two things on his to do list now. He also wants Azerothā€™s titan.

The Sepulcher in Zereth Mortis, from what we know so far, is mainly an archive or library of sorts. Probably an Ulduar-style thing. All he wants from there is knowledge of how to do what he wants to do. After that comes putting it in action. Heā€™ll probably get the intel he wants in 9.2 and then after that I would think is an invasion of Azeroth to come for the final piece of his plans, which our titan does factor into.

That would even let them tie the story into Azeroth, the aftermath likely setting up the next expansion. And there they can also finish the Scourge plotline while theyā€™re at it. We do need to fix that somehow.

SL so far has been fairly unpredictable storywise. Itā€™s such uncharted territory that really anything can happen. No one expected Korthia or sigils for 9.1. So while we are racing him to Zereth Mortis, it doesnā€™t mean weā€™re going to actually stop him when we get there.

I think at this point you should know not to speak for other people.

No but losing money is and that is the whole thing. This dev team didnā€™t learn a thing from WoD and were forced to do a ā€œLegionā€ because their vision was orcs and more orcs. People wanted the that story not some mess of a story inspired Warcraft 2.

And now here we are again with a WoD type scenario.

The timing may make a 9.3 untenable.

9.1.5 will likely hit in late Oct or Nov. then 9.2 may not be out until March. Theyā€™d have to have a 9.3 by June for it to have any staying power as a 10.0 should hit in fall 2022.

Unless they let shadowland last longer than 2 years, I donā€™t even think a 9.3 is possible.

LOL they willl lose more subs than anything if they let shadowlands up for more than 2 years
