No.

I just want the game to be good. The “let’s just move on to the next expansion” is just an excuse to charge us another $40-$60. There’s no guarantee rushing the next expansion will improve the quality of the game. The same people who were desperate to get out of BFA are now complaining about the quality of Shadowlands.

I don’t want a new expansion, I’m having fun.

The next expansion is not anywhere near being done though. Canceling 9.3 is not going to make it arrive any faster or be any better. All that would do is give us a massive content drought that we haven’t seen since the MoP/WoD days.

And all of that is time enough to fit in a 9.2.5 and 9.3 and do SL justice as a full true expansion. End the story properly and then move on to the next one.

Personal dislike isn’t a reason to slash an expansion and ruin it for everyone else.

At this point, we’re looking at 9.1.5 in early November? 9.2 at the earliest is February/March. They need to break this 7-8 month patch cycle… 10.0 lookin like the only way that can happen.

hopefully. maybe a new expansion would bring subs back in imo

Your still going to have the massive drought, but instead of it being after 9.2 you would just make it after 9.3.

True, it is inescapable the traditional end of expansion drought. BfA > SL was only like ten months long, which is definitely on the shorter side than usual. But by 8.3 SL would have been much farther along and closer to beta than 10.0 is right now.

Since we get a drought either way I’d still rather see SL fulfill the prophecy and not become a trainwreck. 9.1.5 is fixing a lot of stuff, so better to continue the high note!

Are you open to hearing a counterpoint?

9.2 is already going to be the end, so wish granted I guess.

At this point, we’ll be lucky to get 9.3 by the end of 2022. Word is all development work on WoW has stopped. due to the law suit.

Yeah, based on estimated timelines for 9.1.5 and 9.2, I don’t really see room for 9.3 before the 2-ish year expansion release schedule (unless 9.2 is an extremely short season, which seems very unlikely).

Given SL’s poor response and also that I think 10.0 would bring a lot more people back than a 9.3, that’s the direction they’d rather go.

9.2 will be the jailer raid to wrap it up and introduce us to the 10.0 story.

Work has obviously resumed if you look at the Wowhead data mining.

Think this is the new normal. 6-8 month patch cycles with more grind to compensate, smaller patches, and less of them.

Same great price though.

You’re welcome to sit out 9.3, but not everyone agrees with you and is in a rush to see SL ended.

Pretty sure that’s their plan at how the pacing is going.

or… just unsub…like a regular person letting Blizzard know you don’t wish to play their game anymore. They’ll realize they screwed up the more people who don’t like the state of the game unsub.

The way these patches have been paced, we are having mini content droughts and the story doesn’t have much left since the villain is at the pinnacle as we are gonna be there to beat him.

End of story.

They only know how far they are and honestly, don’t ever expect a new expansion to be ‘fully’ done by launch as history has taught us.

Anon wants it quicker, but realistically, I can’t see a 9.3 happening… 9.2 will be the Jailers downfall and the next xpac late 2022.

What’s funny to me are the people thanking blizzard for the 9.1.5 changes when they should really be thanking everyone that’s voted with their dollar and stopped their subscriptions. That’s why 9.1.5 is shaping up to be actually decent.
