I agree that it could partially true, if not mostly true, but I do believe that changes in management and such are also affecting all these changes. Maybe not as much, but partially.

I like the premise of shadowlands , more than i did for wotlk ! The story is worst so far , yes , but i never played wow for its story 
The fact we finally tackly the afterlife is neat , though its missing the mark to me , the premise of shadowlands feels awesome ā¦ but where is the lich king or deathwing or etc ā¦ we killed them in the past , should some sort of remnant left of them in the afterlife ā¦
9.2 , old gods messes up afterlife after their defeat , since we have no idea where the jailer went yet , we try to clean this mess up
9.3 We cleaned up the afterlife and finally learn what the jailer was up to , return to azeroth for real , the afterlife is 100% secured now that we united all 4 covenants.
Jailer just burn the entire world , trying to absorb azerothās titan , and succeeds , leading us to a wow 2.0 fresh start where we get a new azeroth and a clean slate to start with .
10.0 we have the the raid to get rid of the jailer
and after that we get to learn about our new reality , our new azeroth ā¦
No i dont think they should end shadowlands just because you feel like it

At this points, it would be a surprise if We get a 9.3. This xpac seems to finish with 9.2 like WOD did.
If they decide to do 9.3, than the 10.0 would be in 2023 ? or 2022 holiday season at the earliest.

Depends , we dont actually need a raid every patch if they bring QoL and story to push further !
Because rushing out an expansion will automatically make it better than Shadowlands even though 9.1.5 is Blizzard making a conscious decision to actually fix Shadowlands rather than completely ditch it.

Thisā¦ people think ānew xpacā means everything is fixedā¦ it would just be new systems like the ones we currently have that nobody likesā¦ v2. People are so blindā¦ give Blizzard a chance to fix the game during this xpac that way next xpac is actually good.

yea thats how it always been but they could skip that for 1 patch and simply bring wow back up to its game ^^ pretty sure nobody would mind a raid tier not happening in favor of QoL and polished products , similar to the jailers plan to set everything back to 0 and shape it his way

9.3 will never happen. I mean, could happen, but it will depend of how well people recieve 9.1.5. For we who are still playing the game, it will be great. But it will bring people back? Dunno.
I think that at this point Blizzard wants a new expansion. Is way easier to hype a expansion than a patch. They need the players back.
With the way the story is being told, Iām not sure how there could be a 9.3. it feels like 9.2 will wrap up the story. Maybe we could get an early next-expansion pre-patch instead.

Well, they wonāt let us obliterate Sylvanas. Canāt imagine what the next expansion will be about.
9.2 is probably the Sepulcher a la World Stone of D2. And we all know that itāll get destroyed. Some legendary previously unknown first one angelic nunchucks will be used.
And as consequence, allow new Titans or our power level to increase beyond titans
