Can We get the new Void Elf hair styles added for the blood elves too?

Honestly, most hairstyles should be available to most races. No reason why a blood elf can’t style their hair like the human hair my character has in the portrait. It’s just… hair.

Yeah but thats all. We know nothing about where the rest of the expansion may take place. Is it all in Quel’thalas? Will the Alliance be stationed there or someplace else? If the Blood Elves are having their home revamped it stands to reason that the Azuremyst area might also especially since their “new” city is a thing.

Again Quel’Danas I can see as a capital to work from for both sides. Defending the Sunwell that we will probably know is the target early on.

Gilneas isn’t that far away and could use an uplift.

Theres so little that we know its odd to put all our thoughts into Silvermoon, a Horde city.

Reality check people aren’t trolling just because we don’t agree with you, maybe not everyone wants everything shared between Blood Elves and Void Elves, maybe some of us see the reality that it’s been 100% one sided, maybe we like having differences, I could go on but hopefully you get it off those three.

They wouldn’t know what trolling really is, even if they were on a forums where people were always trolling.

I would love to see a revamp of Draenei stuff for Midnight. Both for faction parity, since their starting zones are the counterpart to Quel’Thalas and aren’t flyable for the exact same reason, but also because Velen was such an important factor in restoring the Sunwell in the first place. It makes sense to me that the Draenei, or at least Velen, would feel invested in protecting the Sunwell from the Void.

Incorrect and immature statement, given the context and the conversation between us.

I never stated this, this is your own fear. You fear that the Blood Elves are getting removed.

Of course not. You are emotionally loathed and driven by fear, and this alone clouds your judgement. You, and many others here, project their identity on this game and that’s why you have issues to let go of such non-problematic issues, which can and will likely also be supported by the lore. Your whole point is simply “I do not want this to happen”, while my suggestive underlying argument is “You do not want this to happen because you’re too attached to this race for the wrong reasons”.

The argument is based on your “spiteful” comment, which isn’t accurate. I just needed to make it clear to you, that you argue on basis on something you actually not own and makes everyone look foolish here. Secondly, all of you forget too easily that the developers read these postings here. It wouldn’t surprise me if they take me way more seriously than others, because how petty these emotionally burdened arguments get.

That’s all what I was thinking back then.

I wouldn’t call this trolling, these people just haven’t learned to debate yet.

This is an incorrect statement.

People project their RL and identity on these characters, which is problematic.

Aye, Its something I’ve been wondering if we’ll see happen during Midnight since the two places are linked similarly.

And as I mentioned a bit above here, it wouldn’t be the first time for Alliance and Horde to be in separate capitals during an expansion. We know the Sunwell will be a big focal point and that much of Quel’thalas will be revamped. But we don’t know much of anything else about Midnight so far. So much is possible in any which way. I’m excited to see whats next… heck I’m still excited to see the next few patch cycles of TWW since I hear the next bit will be heavily voidy orientated again.

No, that is the general argument by a few forum goers here on the forums from the High Elf “fanbase” that are never happy, even after getting what they want.

Here is a real question, why does everything have to be copy paste? What is wrong with asking for new and unique customizations? As Naughtymoon has pointed out a few times, why should the Blood Elves share more customization options with the Void Elves when the Nightborne didn’t even receive anything from the Night Elves?

And if people did start asking for Night Elf customizations on Nightborne, I can guarantee you’ll be the first one to say no to this.

What am I afraid off? Development decisions? You know why Blizzard didn’t give us actual High Elves and gave us Void Elves? You know why Blizzard crave into all the spam to give Void Elves skin tones and hair colours. They gave you an inch, but it is still not enough for you, so you’re trying to go for the whole mile.

But Blizzard actually knew where the line can not be crossed. It is why none of the other Blood Elf customizations have been added to the Void Elves. Because after 9.1.5, a large majority of the High Elf community moved on, because they were happy with what they got. Because a majority knew that the rest were not possible because it would be crossing a line that should never be crossed. But still a few forum trolls had to still continue on, because they still want to go for the mile after getting an inch.

So, no, I got nothing to be afraid off. Because I knew Blizzard did stop there with the skin tones and hair colours, and would not go further than that, because then there could be a line that could be crossed where it would be seen “unfair” to other players," especially to the Blood Elf players.

Because Blizzard looks at all feedback from every player, including from those that may oppose a suggestion.

Because Blizzard themselves realized that the Void Elves were a grave mistake. The over half a decade long discussion and this very topic proves this. Not only did this land on a gaming newspage, it is also one of the most infamous and controversial takes the developer team did regarding player customization.

They are aware of this, otherwise they wouldn’t have given them during the Mechagnome patch the fair skins and during SL the regular hair colors.

Going forward, they will very likely either merge both races into one, where the skin color dictates the Void Elf proc (Draenei-style with the Heartsthone) or make both races available to each side, making them neutral. This also has to happen for story-related reasons. Discussing mere hair options shows everyone outside the WoW-bubble, that something clearly went wrong.

This is not for you to decide, though. This is likely going to happen, because how else would you justify the Druid tattoos and class for Nightborne? The current WoW storyline is about progression and growth, while also opening player agencies and independence.

Incorrect statement, for several reasons. You would know this, if you have listened to the insider comment, which was made by BellularGaming and how developers told him how things went down. The “new blood” asked for High Elf options being made available to the Alliance and the head developers agreed to this, without any resistance. They don’t care about these petty discussions here, they listen to feedback they get worldwide - and most of the players requested High Elf options made available. Ever since then this has died down.

Your idea of subraces is also flawed, which ankle point can be simply negated by referring you to other races and their official subraces.

They don’t see “a line”, this is your assumption. They see the reaction and act upon it.

This is correct and they disagreed with the Blood Elf crowd on these forums. This is what happened with 9.1.5 and is going to happen down the line every time further.

No, they didn’t disagree with others. They gave in to the insane amount of spam made by the High Elf community. I was one of those people also spamming the forums. They didn’t disagree with anyone, they just gave us and gave into the spam, hoping it would shut up the High Elf community, in which yes, it did shut us up.

If you don’t remember, I would look at using wayback machine and look at GD before November, 2021.

The new draenei capital will probably be flying, it could indeed be the alliance capital but Blizzard mentioned that the different elven tribes will unite, it would be strange if they were separated in two different capitals.

A neutral hub will be necessary to unite all these elves because there will be horde/alliance elves but also neutral elves.

This is actually a fact, whether you or others like it or not Blizzard chose not once but twice to ignore the requests to give Alliance our High Elves because they are our High Elves (Blood Elves) and the best they got was the off brand glowy version.

They often don’t listen to requests and ignore a lot so pretending like they don’t is simply being ignorant.

I don’t think it will be “necessary” personally. I think storywise alone we’ll find that High and Void Elves are allowed back in the story and there is a fair chance that a Bel’ameth style allowance for people to be there will occur but I’m not convinced that Silvermoon would go neutral by any stretch. We’ve worked together at Quel’danas before and so if there is a neutral hub I’m betting it would be there where the Sunwell is.

Right now though we’ve little info to go off of. So I could also see Blizzard use the opportunity to have us in different areas for the first part of the expansion again like they did in BfA.

Its just early to really claim one way or another. When they show the trailer (I assume later this year) we’ll see a more clear picture of whats going to actually go on and maybe we’ll know more before then as the patch cycles continue.

This is not what actually happened. The requests went on for years on several platforms and Blizzard realized that they had to act upon it.

You don’t have High Elves anymore. That’s the whole point of the reaffirmation of the Blood Elves and its red theme. High Elves are not officially playable but only as a subrace for the Alliance, like the Man’ari, Wildhammers and other subraces.

If you want to play a High Elf, you have to play Alliance. And if you think about it logically, you’ll come also to the conclusion that the growing numbers [outside of the Blood Elves] must come from most common indicator, which are High Elves. You’re also free to suggest that Blood Elves switch over to the Alliance, but this would also indicate that they don’t want to be in the Horde.

And to add some extra layer for you to consider: There is a separation between different generations of Void Elves with completely different appearances.

This is objectively false because only Horde and Blood Elves are the ones that look and sound like High Elves and we are the ones that are uncorrupted, just doing a paint job with fair skin, blue eyes and blonde hair doesn’t make a Void Elf any less corrupted, not to mention our whole lore is we are the High Elves renamed Blood Elves so.

It is especially the elven leaders of this union who will have to be grouped in the same neutral hub.

Sure but Quel’Danas can be used for that too.

I’m just betting Blizzard isn’t going to turn a true Horde City into a neutral hub. Something minor? Sure. Bel’ameth and Gilneas have no city systems involved so it’s fine they were made into neutral-if you can actually call that neutral-cities.

The idea they’ll turn an actual city into a neutral one just seems far fetched to me.

Now maybe I’m wrong but that’s my thought right now.

I’d place my bets on Quel’Danas or a new Draenei city for parity. (much more the Quel’Danas bit though.)

Will trade Void Elf hairstyles for body jewelry from Belves.

We didn’t even get the body jewelry, unless you mean that awful looking painted on stuff and if you want that you can have that because basically no one uses it.

You’re not replying to me, but no, the only people who would care if a race got more hairstyle options, are people who say stuff like this:

There is no weird conspiracy going on here, I don’t know where you got this. People just want more hairstyle options.

People see something they like on an alt and want it on their mains. That’s literally it. It already exists in the game on a similar model, so surely it’s easy to just port it over to blood elves, so people think that it’s not a big ask if they ask for it.

I have no idea why such a big deal is being made over hairstyles. Like this person said:
