Can we get spec-specific ratings for regular brackets?

It has been happening; however a suggestion like this would make it 10x worse.

Not really, safe to say playing an alt spec wouldn’t be as efficient as playing an alt with your main spec. More likely to lose on the alt spec due to mistakes.

Most specs play similarly. The difference between sub and assa rogue are like 5%. Warlock is about 10% between each one. The only ones that wouldn’t be nearly efficient would-be role swaps, so Healer to DPS, or visa verse. But even then. a 2900 rated player playing 5-15% less efficient would still be a 2500 rated player playing 0-2100 brackets for the first several dozen games.

Reading this reminds me of when people used to change a sentence in MS Word to Windings to see silly text.

Subtlety players aren’t gonna be a fan of this one.

Legend has it that he dumps cans of alphabet soup on the floor to formulate responses.

What does any of this have to do with the topic?

Anyway @Doors I think most people get what you’re saying and I think it’s probably only a good idea but the future of the game. Would definitely make toying with specs less risky for some people who want to mess with comps and reduce the need for alts.

Definitely has downsides though. Would suck if your actually trying to push and the meta shifts and you need to start over randomly.

Maybe use your eyes and read the thread, the answers are there.

Maybe if you read doors post instead of complaining about shuffle titles the thread wouldn’t have gotten derailed idk.

I just want to practice some Disc without my first game being at 1800+ MMR into multiglads playing solid comps. Lol

I’d imagine people going from healing to shadow, or ret to holy, or vice versa, feel the same.

Seems like a very logical thing to make the rating spec specific, especially since we have the technology for it now. Would probably raise overall activity too.

I feel mixed on this. Sometimes I think role-specific would be better, sometimes I think spec-specific would be better, and still others I think it should stay the way it is. I guess there’s a tradeoff to be made for each

Perhaps the best solution is making it optional. First queue of the season on each spec it would ask you if you want to share rating or have spec rating.

More complicated but probably doable.

I definitely agree going from like arms to fury, sub to sin, MM to BM, etc., is less of a learning curve so maybe make it role specific.

That wouldn’t help Doors, who wants to play disc and holy, however.

I solved it anyway by just making my 2nd Priest Disc, but he’s also at 18-1900 MMR so it’s gonna suck till I lose some games before I get the hang of it. Lol

Thus making it easier to win trade without needing multiple characters or accounts. Naa this idea is trash.

Yes please. I like this system.

It would make win trading harder on same toons since you can only be 3k+ as X spec once. I highly doubt even most R1’s are R1 on all specs playing different comps.

People like Mud have 10 Warriors regardless. The only thing this affects is limiting the ground work for normal players to have to reroll different toons to try new specs. If you disagree, you’re gay.

Being able to claim an r1 spot and having the rating to be there (thus the incentive you can safely trade games on one character) are two different things.

Boohoo there may be consequences to my actions. Also why would you want to waste time like that? I played unholy till last week of solo and swapped frost for the luls. Learned exactly nothing beating up on people who didn’t use defensives cc or even an effective PvE rotation.

My guy this doesn’t irritate me its actually funny because you’re conceding the argument. Proverbial 3 year old foot stomp accompanied by yelling. Not even with the report cuz then your smallness gets protected.

I’m also guessing from this that you’re angry that I saw through your thinly veiled line of crap and you did want easier win trading. That was just a random thought homie, you outed yourself too fast :joy:
