Can we get spec-specific ratings for regular brackets?

Would be nice to switch specs and practice games without needing to do it at your main spec’s rating.

Um, no that would be awful.

Why would that be awful?

The same way making things like gladiator account bound was awful. Just no loyalty to your class/spec anymore.

They already do it with RSS. I don’t see how having to regrind rating as a separate spec would give any sort of advantage. For that matter, may make brackets more forgiving if people are alting for fun.

Makes no sense to do this. 2s and 3s are character based. RSS is based on specs because thats how they designed the system to be. Gladiator would be a mess to dish out too as how would you quantify a R1 RSham swapping specs to ESham and dumpstering kids in 1800 mmr for free without losing R1 title.

And look at the issues in the rss system. My peak rating as surv last season would of gotten me r1 on over 1/3rd the dps specs but not survival. Feeling like you’re punished cause your spec isn’t popular sucks. Boomkin is the prime example of this as well.

Gladiator is ‘dished’ out once you hit 2400 + 50 wins above 2400. R1 is % based. It would work exactly how it works now. Lol

The only issue RSS has is it dilutes the player pool. This would not.

Really don’t see what that would have to do with people playing alt games without having to roll another toon. Like, I’m genuinely not connecting the dots, not just being argumentative for the sake of it.

R1 titles dont work like that.

And it was a disaster for rss with spec specific ladders. Fury war r1 cutoff was 2.9 while surv was 3.4 and boomkin was 3.5. Popular specs getting easier titles is not cool.

R1 titles… could work like that. Blizzard isn’t running software that was made at a time that technology existed that’s knowledge is now lost to man, they can literally have a dude slap out some code and change how R1 is calculated.

Neverminding the fact that an R1 Rsham would get 0 rating for winning games at 1800 as Enhance.

It would still take account of %'s like it does now, just it might be possible to have 3500cr as Resto, and 1400 as Ele on the same toon. If you thought I was suggesting they change 3v3 R1 to be spec-based, that’s not at all what I was suggesting.

That would kill the top end of the game and ruin rating inflation. The best players in the game push high rating for that title. Making it default to 50+ wins in elite CR just makes it so you dont have to push.

Except in your world. separating the 2s and 3s ladders into specs it wouldnt matter. The “enhance” MMR would be significantly lower than the “resto” MMR. Ergo. Your post makes no sense and would kill Arena.

Were you home schooled by a person with learning disabilities?

Bro you’re talking about separating 2s and 3s into spec based brackets just like RSS.

My Destro hit 2k last season. My affliction was 1500. I play affliction. IM IN 1500 MMR. I play Destro IM IN 2000 MMR.

Enjoy the report. Get off the forums gremlin.

No, I’m not. Lol

Don’t care, you’ll still be bad when I get back for me to continue poking fun at.

Players might be more inclined to try switching to their class’ healing spec for a few games if it didn’t mean starting at their main spec mmr and destroying any cr they gained in the process of learning how to heal.

While I’m not asking for the same thing (though it isn’t a bad idea) I am fully a Shaman. I think playing one class and one class only proves that, and wanting to be decent at all specs of your class isn’t a bad thing.

Last season I started playing Resto and Enh, and I’ve NEVER played Enh before. Changing classes is for chumps, being able to get play any spec of your class? That is divine.

Here. Take a drink of your big gulp. Settle down.

If the R1 cutoff for 3v3 is 3200cr and you’re 3200cr as Resto, congratulations you’re R1.

If you’re 1400 as Enhance on the same toon from goofing off doing alt games, you reflect as a 1400 Enhance.

R1 cutoff would still be calculated by the top overall % of ratings, not by spec to spec. This just allows you to switch specs and play alt games.
