Can we get some new *established* class/race combos in 9.1.5/9.2?

I’ve said many a time in here…

… painting a Bronzebeard does not a Wildhammer make. Stormform has no place on a Wildhammer’s bars. Nor that “racial” armour on their bodies. We have Wildhammer cultural appropriation, in essence.

And that’s before you account for physical and cultural differences - the gap between Bronzebeard and Wildhammer is much more wide than between Bronzebeard and Dark Iron.

I pointed out a month or so ago, and I should be slapped with a wet noodle for letting it drop, that this is how people need to frame this argument to get the attention of Blizzard. This is free money for them. They make a killing with race changes every time they open up new race/class combos or just release a new race. You’re horde, look at all those vulpera running around. How many do you think leveled a new character versus paid $25?

How come you’re not in Moonguard?

Former Moon Guard. Left the server to join a raiding guild. One of the other members is also former Moon Guard. We still joke about the draenei women.

Takes the phrase “Hold my beer” to a whole new level.

Just cosplay imo.

They spit on the lore and the importance of the Wildhammer because it was easier. 15 years I’ve waited for my Wildhammer to get this disappointment.

Wildhammer deserve better.

I know. I liked and agreed with a lot of what you said.

For sure I want a full fledged Wildhammer and will keep asking for one and supporting those who do as well, but I don’t want to ignore what we have that establishes, albeit poorly, what is a poor man’s Wildhammer. Even the names of the tattoos are related to Wildhammer and have nothing to do with the Bronzebeards.

I agree wholeheartedly. Especially since Wildhammer have been far more important than Dark Iron were when it came to the Alliance. Even when they hadn’t fully rejoined they were still assisting the Alliance in numerous ways. The updated look of the Dark Iron didn’t exist until the Allied Race came out so there’s nothing saying they can’t do something similar with Wildhammer. Especially since it’s not like they are going to go back and change all the NPCs. They certainly didn’t do that for all the old Dark Iron. lol

Pagh! Wildhammer are the only reason the Alliance even has gryphons. They were the first Dwarf Clan to join the Alliance of Lordaeron.

We owe them everything. They fought damned dragons for us and we piss on em by making them nothing but tattoos! TATTOOS! The least thing about them.

Blizzard failed the Wildhammer and I’m never forgiving them for it until they add them properly.

You’re trying to hard to justify it and I’m telling you it was never part of their culture until they became Blood Elves.

The Blood Knights rose from unproven and scorned beginnings to become a popular group within sin’dorei society. They are led by their matriarch, Lady Liadrin, who was the first of their order.

Also the Void Elvea didn’t follow Prince Sunstrider they looked for darker ways and forbidden magic to quench their thirst for a replacement of Arcane magic.

This also means they wouldn’t have access to the Demon Hunter class. This would be retcon and dafamation to existing lore.

I mean I leveled 7 of the 9 from 10 to 120/60

I’m going to ask if you did the void elf recruitment scenario. They were recent exiles from Silvermoon after it was discovered their research into the void was a threat to the sunwell. They were studying the void because they were determined not to fall prey to their enemies once more.

They didn’t use the void as a replacement for arcane. Their research was for the benefit of the blood elves as a whole but people were, rightfully, distrustful about anyone who would willingly treat with the void.

Sorry, Mrs. Drezkian.

Look the Void Elves were not Blood Knights, they were not Demon Hunters. Their Leader is Mage and someone who went against their laws and practices.

They didn’t take the Blood Elf path, they took a different one.

It makes absolutely no sense for them to be Paladins or Demon Hunters when they took a forbidden path into the Void.

But you know what I don’t really care anymore. Don’t even know why I’m arguing no one cares about the lore anyways.

Well stated.

Can’t forget a good number of em, along with Kurdran Wildhammer, remained in Outlands which was a tremendous sacrifice after the portal was sealed.

Also really liked running into that Wildhammer in Kul Tiras who tought the humans to train gryphons.

I’m not arguing for void elf paladins or demon hunters. I completely agree with you on the fact they shouldn’t exist. What I am arguing is:

They didn’t follow Sunstrider but they didn’t use void magic to slake their thirst for magic. That is incorrect and you can’t argue about lore when you yourself don’t know the lore apparently.

That still means you spent $50 on the other 2. That’s about what you spent on the core game of BFA, or about what you spend for 4 months of subscription time. Big windfall for Blizzard. Better yet, you were both happy.

The only people this is a lose for are people who are stuck in a 2006 mindset and are still unhappy Alliance got shamans and Horde paladins.

Not happening since warlocks are a cultural “nah, we’re good” for the races that don’t have them for specific reasons. Most obviously, draenei and Lightforged have been running from or fighting against demons for eons, Highmountain tauren were betrayed by their own people who sided with the Legion, and Mag’har are untainted by demonic corruption, hence they’re not green, red, or blue and have priests instead.

  1. There’s only one Night Elf Paladin. The only other one you’re referring to is a ghost that you never actually see fight or do anything and their abilities on the mission table are likely for gameplay reasons, not because they are actually a Paladin
  2. Lightforged Draenei are not the same ones who came or Azeroth in TBC and have not been trained in either Monk or Shaman beliefs
  3. The only Demon Hunters that exist are ones that were taught by Illidan.
  4. Kul Titans don’t believe in the Light and it’s not their religion at all, they believe in the sea.
