Can we get rid of the awful M+ squish changes please?

So it’s “trust me, bro”?

Well I could say “Prove me wrong, bro”…

My main complaint is I suck and I want to be carried.

You seem to be saying that it’s successful. How do you define “success” in this case, and how would you show that it is meeting those criteria you have chosen?

I would say that it would require some sort of evidence to say with confidence that new players and those who never reached +10 keys before are achieving measurably more success.

We can overlevel the content right now.

I did a M0 the other day in Grim Batol at 608 ilvl and it was a pathetic joke. Nobody died.

We cleared it like a heroic dungeon no joke.

Although I would bet a +5 is gonna be 100x more difficult.

I’m waiting for your evidence that the people the difficulty is designed for are able to do that.

Literally covered by:

Majority.

Thats what m0 is. Increased difficulty, no timer, no queued teleport. Hoof it there on foot, fail and strategize as many times as you need between bosses if it comes to that. They got that. Just most people playing the game now are familiar with it. Kind of hard to be surprised by something thats been going for 20 years. Casts usually need kicked, shielded casts need CCs to stop, avoid swirlies on ground. Game is 20 years old. Not 20 weeks. The new shiny and inexperienced has long gone by. Mythic dungeons arent a new concept, nor is having to use CC on mobs.

Whats the very first word in the part you quoted?

You keep conflating progression via gear with “learning a dungeon”. You also keep throwing out the assumption that people cannot/will not/unable to run normal dungeons at any point regardless of ilvl to start learning. Why is that?

More people engaging in m+ in the early stages even after the squish than corresponding weeks of prior seasons before the m+ squish.

No reason to squish the gear. Keep it the same as it is now for M0-M10. Revert the squish changes so an M10 isn’t an M20 anymore.

I feel like DF season 4 was reasonable. It has the squish, but the incoming damage was more manageable for healers and tanks to deal with. I get that tanks were a little too OP, but now they are just squishy

how is anything i wrote there a lie? if they are failing they shouldn’t be in that content and maybe should go to a lower key or back to m0.

M0 is not for inexperienced players. M0 is for learning basic mechanics without any reward for the time put into them for players who learn by playing, not reading. M0 shouldnt be the dying place for the avg players’ progression. The jump from 0 to 2 is very noticeable. 8 to 10 keys are not “tame.” This is the lie.

this is correct they shouldnt die here but they should learn about the basic mechanics that is killing them and causing them to fail keys.

should it not be? every key level should be harder than the last i dont think anyone here was arguing that.

yea they are. there is no lie lol. this is were the farming for gear is happening for raid guilds so yes it is pretty tame. now if i were to say 12+ are tame that would be a lie currently since those keys absolutely are nasty.

What’s your mains name?

The jump is so much that geared tanks cant survive a singular miss on 2s. Thats not a fair jump. I understand keys being a different level of difficulty with each jump, completely reasonable. The entry level for mythic+ is too high and doesnt give enough chance for players to recover.

Sorry but yes, saying 8 and 10s are tame because thats what the top 1% of players use to gear shows your both disconnected from the avg player base and that your understanding of the bulk of the players isnt within your grasp.

These changes would be fine if they reverted the tank changes. This would allow healers to focus on the a mechanic miss for the other players and give the tank more freedom which is obviously needed as shown by the dropping participation in mythic+ runs and obvious tank shortage.

M+ is the worst it’s ever been. Don’t even feel like pushing, or really playing at all.

curious what your take is on geared for a two is? i just did a two a couple of days ago on my new prot warrior at 580 ilvl in a pug and it went fine. i didnt feel like iw as weak or anything and the only time i was in danger was my own fault.

i can kinda agree with 10s being on the upper end of tame but they are still being farmed by mythic players and high end aotc guilds. 8s on the other hand my causual guild who is filled with green and grey parsers have several people starting to push into them. like they really arnt that crazy. heck did a random 9 on my evoker lol and it was 408 at the time i think. now its 412 to be fair.

i do agree some of the tank changes feel worse than others but tanks like druid, warrior and dk are all fine. vdh you kinda need a big brain to play. brew and pally need some help.

i dont think ive ever played the game where there were a surplus of tanks in dungeon content. you will also start to see more as the season progresses but people are always scared to paly tank at the start of an expac and i don’t blame them. learning all those new dungeons can be intimidating.

whats keeping you away from it.

Main’s name?

last time i put my mains name in here people kept spamming and harassing me in game. specifically two people that took a long time to get it to stop. so i dont post it anymore.

600s is geared. Again, mythic guilds and aotc are not the avg player. And I strongly doubt your take on greens and grays pushing mythics. If they are, they are alts of extremely high end players who know old mechanics and new ones because the game is their entire hobby and that alone.
