Can we get rid of Slice And Dice?

Its about every button you press not being super fun and exciting, deal with it buddy, there is micro management in mmo’s and not all of it is going to feel amazing. Just be glad you have buttons to press unlike some classes cough DH

“Dont fix any issues. Dont complain. Just deal with it and appreciate youre not the worst class” mf doesnt even play a rogue yet is coming here saying all this dumb stuff lmao.

Literally the worst type of player.

Bro, you come across as really divisive. Whether someone plays rogue at the bleeding edge of raid content, middling PvP, or just likes to cut up and have fun on a level 40 alt shouldn’t make a difference when you’re trying to solicit opinions.

I play sin. It’s a challenge (primarily/especially in AOE) to maintain SND… but that’s why I play this class/spec. It’s a challenge. It’s like you mentioned earlier… “try maintaining three bleeds and Envenom while keeping up SND.” Man, that’s what sets you apart from the pack - if you master this, that makes you a good rogue. If you can’t, keep practicing until you get there.

Ok but you missed the point of my previous statement. The gameplay was rewarding. The addition of SnD is not rewarding. Especially not in aoe (unless youre outlaw).

8.3 gameplay loop had you doing competitive aoe damage as sin. Sin has had the worst aoe damage this entire xpac and SnD is one of the few reasons why. It just doesnt fit as an ability for the spec. Cut to the Chase is a band aid, not something that redeems the ability.

Only if they delete Savage Roar for ferals also, which is even more boring.

After looking it up I 100% support it. I dont know if its worse than SnD because blizz was like “youre just gonna do no damage without this buff” or better because its not just attack speed.

Ummm doesn’t SND get automatically refreshed when you hit envenom?

Utter claptrap.

I wish they would get rid of it. Then i could spend those combo points on something like cc, or damage, or a dot on some stealthy. You know, something dynamic.

I think it’s fine for sin, I like that RtB isn’t replacing it anymore as a finisher, I think it feels out of place for current sub, though it didn’t in WoD, which was the last time I really enjoyed playing sub.

It’s okay for there to be important abilities that aren’t exciting and don’t push the skill cap. It’s rewarding when you’re able to take advantage of downtime to refresh it versus several seconds into a pull. It isn’t a particularly difficult plate to keep spinning, but it does make choosing to spin other more exciting plates less than wholly automatic.

I would consider shedding it for specs that feel like they might have too many buttons. For me, that’s outlaw and sub. Sin needs it for energy regen though.

No its not. If its not exciting, engaging or skillful it cannot be important. Just cause some dev stuck us with it does not mean it needs to stay.

Sin rogues energy regen problems is entirely due to blizz’s incompetency. SnD doesnt fix it, once again its just a band aid (the buff tool tip doesnt even say youre getting that energy regen lmao). Something as simple as changing the mastery from increased dot damage to increased dot tick rate would have a much greater impact while not changing the damage profile too much.

They dont even have to get rid of it. Just make it a passive, 1 second of uptime per CP spent up to 10 seconds.

For some extra flair you could have a talent that lets you use the actual button after the buff has been up for 50 seconds or whatever to double the buff for 10 seconds (off the gcd obviously).

Combo point generators aren’t exciting, but they are important. Would you do without those?

They are however engaging. Theyre the steps needed to get to the fun stuff. You press shadowstrike cause you know it leads to a beefy eviscerate.

There’s a difference between generators filling the rotation and finishers being boring garbage you maintain.

You aren’t pressing Mutilate or Backstab/Shadowstrike to maintain a buff (sans incentives to do so, which are typically treated as just passive gains from things like Conduits), you’re pressing them to generate combo points to spend.

As a Kyrian rogue, you can with the legendary belt.
Its ALOT of fun.

I have 3 rogues, this last one I just capped at 60 is Kyrian, i’m kicking myself for not playing it all expansion.

Aye bro we didnt get the legendary till 9.1 so you really only missed 1 patch of fun. And that finisher spamming fun doubled with the sub rogue tier set.

Not quite sure what the fus is all about with SnD i just started playing Rogue this EXP as a main and its become second nature after breaking out of stealth to pop SnD. Also to add to that the animation makes me feel like my rogue is preparing to unleash some pain on the poor sole who dares to stand before the master of shadows.

" Ahhh you think darkness is your ally? You merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn’t see the light until I was already Lvl60, by then it was nothing to me but blinding"

“The shadows betray you because they belong to me!”

i mean thats why. you dont even know what the specs were like without it.

Imagine instead of putting a buff on yourself after coming out of stealth you actually started stabbing mfs.

I don’t see blizz removing it, though I want them to. It doesn’t feel engaging gameplay. I’d much rather see it changed if it were to stay. Either have it baked into the class from using finishers (gives x amound per cp spent) or have it changed in a way to make it fun to press. For example, what if Slice and Dice was a cool down? The name sounds like it should do a crazy animation of multi attacks. But instead we get an buff we meed to maintain…
