Can we get rid of Slice And Dice?

Ah, I see. So, it wouldn’t waste the combo points. That would make it a little awkward for bursting still, but I see what you mean. I don’t know. It still would be weird, I think.
The more I think about it. I’m still not sure it really fixes the issue. I guess it does (in essence) make Slice and Dice deal damage(since you’d probably generally be attaching to to Eviscerate). But, it’d still be the button you have to press every so often.
Again, just thinking about it’s impact on gameplay/rotation. I mean, sure on the damage meter you’d get more Eviscerates off. But, are your fingers really doing anything differently?

My fingers arent doing anything differently with Slice and Dice in the rotation. Rogues in general need to leave the trash abilities behind to make room for new ones.

agreed. such a poorly designed skill. it does not suit rogue’s play-style at all. we are squishy hit & run assassins. so who has time to spend a global on that when the whole enemy team switches to you instantly the moment you come out of stealth (since you are dead meat once that 4s cloak and 10s evasion is gone LOL).

other than using it for heal (LOL) it is mostly useless.

EXACTLY.

Its absolutely un-rogue like and just poor. Just put a talent on the tree for 20/33/50% increase auto-attack and be done with it. Charge us a point or something.

Devs “purged” all the skills to clean up trash; and here we go again. BIG #'s inc again with 10 more levels, (bye bye level squish) and im sure after expansion release MORE annoying skills to add to a hotbar thats already a mess.

You know there is a talent to refresh it when you envenom right?

If you dislike having to refresh it…idk, get the talent so you don’t? You make it sound like there is no other option. There is. You might not like having to spend the points on it but there it is.

There are people who don’t take this? I apply it once and keep it up the entire fight with envenom, the amount of time it refreshes with ensures it never drops off. Seems like a no brainer to me eliminating it from your rotation.

I agree it’s a boring button. But if it were removed I would rather it be replaced by something rather than just nothing but tuning to make up for it.

I think it would feel better if it increased your attack speed a lot over a shorter period of time, rather than it being almost unnoticeable and lengthy like it is now. Would be cool to actually feel it.

Its also a waste of a point and its completely ironic how it gates the aoe talents when you rarely use Envenom in aoe.

Just make the entire ability passive for Sin and Sub without requiring a talent point.

There are countless things it could be replaced with for Sin and Sub. Outlaw already has SnD as a passive for the most part and look at how many other abilities players can pick and choose to add to their rotation as a result.

Wasn’t it like that in the slimmed down trees? I’m not really surprised it was made into a talent on these trees, it’s how the system used to be. Mandatory talents were all over the place.

outlaw has snd as a passive? explain.

For the most part yea. You get all 6 buffs in your opener, pop Keep it Rolling and you build up minutes of SnD uptime before it even falls off. Its literally easier than Sin Rogue.

No, Cut to the Chase was baseline for Sin, not a talent. Doesnt change my view of the ability.

That is not “basically” snd baseline at all!

Like i said, as Outlaw you stack it on pull. You have minutes of uptime leftover after the pull ends. Unless you die you literally dont have to think about it in DF outside of that initial burst. Dunno if you have beta or not but thats how it works when you have Keep it Rolling with Dreadblades. As close to passive as you can get without implementing the ideas talked about in this thread.

I literally forget to use Slice n Dice on my rogue because its so un-needed.

I don’t take it because I don’t want it eliminated from my rotation. I like what the button adds.

Heck no, the talent system allows the potential for both of us to be happy. Something to make SnD passive should be a talent and nothing more.

Sweet baby Jesus, I hate babysitting Slice and Dice!

No it doesnt. On top of that, SnD lovers are the minority. I dont even know why youre talking on a toon you don’t even play with.

This is the guy I intend to main in DF. I focused on warrior in SL.
