Fears are often irrational and people know better, except our brains are like ‘NAH, full on panic mode, yeaaaa!’

If you’ve seen the game Grounded, they have an arachnophobia slider in that, and turning it all the way off turns spiders into floating popcorn monsters. it’s hilarious.

I too am an Arachnaphobe and thankfully have not had much of an issue. Now when it’s GIANT spiders I start to feel a little uncomfortable. God help me if this expansion introduces giant flying spiders.
That is so much worse… I couldn’t deal.

Asking for developers to make changes to the software just so you don’t see a spider is not putting forth effort. It is you asking someone else to remove obstacles for you.
Help yourself. No one else is going to.

Why Is this getting hidden?
I don’t even consider the request to be inflammatory or with bad intentions.
Skyrim gave me some bad spider fears myself, but WoW is nothing compared to that.

Giant, monstrous spiders are a staple of fantasy.
Please remove the ability to lose in any game mode for those suffering from atychiphobia. Just hand us loot and throw confetti when we log in.

I understand that this is a serious phobia many people have, but why not use the video game spiders to try and get over it? Kill them and squish them and overcome your fear. Its an excellent way without being confronted with real spiders.
In my case, I used to have a serious phobia of dogs when I was a kid because I was afraid of getting bitten. Eventually I was gifted a dog and I was very hesitant to go out to see him. I eventually manned up and went out and my fear vanished in an instant and I realized that I was afraid of nothing and he’s been part of the family to this day for 11 years now. Before all this, whenever we’d visit family friends my parents would have to ask them to lock them in a room for my sake and looking bad that was just terrible of me.
I hope my tale can inspire someone to face their phobia and show them that there’s nothing to fear but fear itself.
