I understand your trepidation. My therapy started with visualizing spiders, then went to pictures of them, then videos, then seeing a small one, so on and so forth. We always went at my pace. I never felt pressured. It’s great to no longer be afraid.
I guess my opinion would be that if the OP is/was unwilling to try and put forth the effort to deal with something that is very much treatable, then they should not expect others to put forth effort for them.
Just remind yourself that due to the square cube law, all the giant spiders would actually be crumpling under their own weight and dying of suffocation. :3 There’s a reason we don’t have dog sized spiders in real life.
Shrug just because I have an immense fear of clowns. Doesn’t mean I hold that against others, if someone wants to have a toy that makes the entire world into a clown world so be it. Will I use it? No never. I would delete the toy before I could even learn it to my toybox.
Plus on top of that I know whatever I see on my screen is fake. If I’d see a clown in WoW or any game I’d 100% want to kill it. IRL? I’d just 180 walk away and not look back.
Play a game called Satisfactory. They have an arachnophobia mode. It turns all the spider aliens into kittens… Somehow it becomes worse!

Wait what? Afraid of spider in a game? I can get IRL I HATE spider but its a game, if they start doing that then what about people who are afraid of Water or birds and dogs?

Personally, I think we should have flying spiders and spiders from the ocean. Not enough spiders in the game.
I’ve made a concept of how an addon could hide spiders (or any mob of choice)
But i got nobody to build it.
Basically, you add all mob IDs of all spiders into it, and if one is within LoS, you are told to drink booze until your screen is too fuzzy to see anything other than healthbars. Then you just murder it and if the coast is clear, have some coffee to take away the drunk effect.
I’m afraid of spiders and snakes irl. Like extremely. In the game they don’t bother me, I know they aren’t real. If they were more realistic looking in game, they may would freak me out a bit. I am sorry for the people it does bother in game though!

God people are so soft. I had a fear of spiders, so I bought a tarantula. Now I have 21, I also had an EXTREME fear of snakes. Now I own two. People are taught it’s okay to hide behind their moms dress and not confront anything. I imagine this is why people get offended over the tiniest things, I imagine this has someone frothing at the mouth as we speak.
*No I’m not suggesting you need to have 21 spiders, I’m a special case of stupid.
Sorry, but that won’t work, because I’m a carbaholic, and my doctor wants me to cut down on carbs. That mode would just make me crave and ultimately eat them until I’m passed out.

OMG I had a dream a couple of nights ago that I had a large plan in my bedroom, and I noticed that one of the branches was dying. I went for a closer look and noticed a large hole in the bottom of the branch. And in that hole was the biggest spider ever like the size of my head. And it was just inches from my face where I had been sleeping. I know it was a dream, but I still think about it and shiver.
I literally saw a thread a month ago about not being able to quest in a zone because it had sharks…
