“Runeblade” is blood dps. You’re looking at the wrong thing.

Isn’t blood already in the upper half of damage specs, as far as what they’re capable of? They’re certainly “competitive” if a competitive player plays one.

I just took a quick peak at warcraftlogs. They’re def not top half. Right about on par with ret paladins. I’d give them a bit of grace considering hardly anyone plays it or theorycrafts it.

The reason why you’ve never run with one is because people assume you’re trolling just by playing the spec. The DK discord even says it will permanently mute you just for saying it’s viable and that by going the spec you’re low key a hinderance to your raid. You play DW Morb, DW frost, or you don’t ask questions. The amount of hate for a spec that actually is fairly viable is insane. No other discord just doesn’t even have a section for one of their specs.

So is ele a meme spec? Blood DPS sims higher than ele but I don’t hear people saying ele is a meme spec.

The gap between ele and blood is pretty large on most Ulduar fights lol… Kologarn is the fight where blood is good.
You’re proving my point, if in fact blood sims higher than Ele but they don’t call ele a meme spec that it’s dumb to call blood a meme spec. There’s a ton of unwarranted hate towards blood and wotlk is literally the only time you can play blood dps before the spec is converted to pure tank.

Ret was buffed because it is a paladins only DPS spec. The same cannot be said for DKs.
you wanna dps as blood then dps as blood. just accept that you will be down with the warriors, frost mages and BM hunters
You’re Unholy and below the Fury Warrior in your guild on a lot of fights. I’m Blood and above the Fury Warriors in my guild on nearly every single fight.
Blood is fine and you’re going to see a lot more people playing it going forward. There could possibly be bugfixes for DRW that will boost the DPS a fair bit as well.

don’t know about blood dps but the shorter the fight the higher everyone’s dps is. if your in a good guild it is easier to hide bloods flaws. if I stop my replays at a decent kill time I am usually way up on the warrior
Okay, but… that also means that the fury would be relatively higher and if you’re below the fury as unholy already… well, you would be with shorter kill timers too.
This really isn’t that hard a concept.
