Can we finally get playable the high elves?

It’s a maybe but that would leave Void Elves with no development at all and what would had been the point of them if they were just added in as a replacement to high elves but lacks the characters and bigger lore reasons to support them.

I mean we already got High Elves that are Void Elves. They just need development.

Hello!

I’m a playable high elf, I’m also playable on Horde.

Pale skin, blond hair, blue eyes 100% high elf.

We have them. They’re called void and blood elves. Stop with the nonsense.

I mean I’d argue that Wrath, MoP and Legion made it clear that they were two seperate groups. Blood Elves are no longer High Elves because those who still stick to that name are traitors

But, well, Void Elves are the real problem. As much as I hate the existence of void elves in general, the fact they’re basically irrelevant and their existence is eroded away this much is at least a victory there. They were a mistake to make them original elf donut steel, and could be removed from the game without much problem, allowing for high elves

OP wants to play Silver Covenant aligned High Elves.

I get the distinction both lore-wise and gameplay-wise.

It’s really not hard to understand.

Anyway, agreed OP.

Because of the name. Like Lustrois is saying.

I’d argue its about the same difference as mag’har and orc, and the high elves have been in the Alliance forces for longer than mag’har were in the Horde. Like, there have been more re-occuring high elf characters than gnome ones, and I’m pretty sure they also beat out most of the Cata introduced worgen characters to boot.

Regardless, I will settle for the Void Elf identity being eroded away, as my support for high elves remains due to how much I hate void elves. Any victory for high elves is further removal of void elf relevancy.

Depends on whether or not you consider the Fel green skin to be a biological change or not.

Otherwise, yes, that backs up exactly what we’re saying: they’re just different groups of the same race.

It’s a name, not a biological difference.

Keep it down, will ya ?

Its enough of something that it could remove the void elf popularity. Showing all people wanted was the historic group that actually helped the Alliance, and not some made up race.

I will support anything to have void elves removed. High Elves at least have a history in the game, they can stay.

I have no idea what this means.

My only point was the following:

My support for high elves isn’t based on any merits (though I will argue they’ve been an Alliance force far longer than any race in the game and have a lot of history)

My support for high elves is because I hate void elves and want them removed from the game. They’re not just going to remove an existing race, of course. But, high elves and void elves are close enough, and high elves still popular enough there’s support for more HElf stuff added. So if the support for high elves is high enough, then all of the unique VElf flavour can be removed and they’ll effectively be removed and replaced by high elves.

They’re Velfs, not Helfs. Velf customization isn’t going anywhere. And I like my Velfs. So… y’all will just deal.

"I want to play as a steamwheedle cartel goblin (booty bay, ratchet etc)

…but there are goblins playable already, of the bilgewater cartel that have joined the horde."

they re all goblins, the same race, but in different ‘‘factions’’

the same thing here, buddy, we have high elves who joined horde (like 99% of them) since burning crusade, and since legion we have void elves, a high/blood elf mutated with the void, but if you’re a weirdo you can pretend you’re a high elf in alliance, enjoy.

Or I can support more HElf threads, showing people put more value in the history of the world rather than flashy visuals. Its the reason why people want ogres, after all.

Every HElf customisation is another step correcting the mistake of VElves being added rather than any of the many other races that actually existed in-game and had relevant lore. Like, y’know, the krokul who’s faction was tragically used to provide this rather than playable broken.

theyre just elves with blue eyes why is everyone so pressed about them?

There was no mistake. Sorry you’re not a fan, but I am and I’m sure there are others who enjoy Velfs.

You’re allowed to have your opinions and offer suggestions for customizations, but wanting something erased from the game just because you don’t like it sounds rather entitled and selfish.

This is why I don’t talk to Helf fans. They tend to be oddly unreasonable.

I have no freaking clue. They can already RP a Helf if they want. Most have shut up about it by this point. But every once in a while… someone stirs the pot and then someone else leaves the door unlocked, so here we are.

Which usually gets me in trouble, so… I should probably stop talking myself and mute the thread. LOL

Plot twist.

Midnight sees the return of the Sin’Dorei returning to their old name Quel’Dorei as a part of a re-unification effort with the Nightborne/Shal’Dorei and further distancing themselves from Kael’thas’ legacy.

High Elves have been on the Horde side since TBC waves.

Then why tf are you still here and playing?

They have a Lord of the Rings fantasy elf they want to play, even though it has been available since TBC. It’s just not with the hoomans.

Not realize the NEs are a re-imagined Wood/Dark Elf society etc.

WoW is playing off of Warhammer and Traditional DND fantasies… some people haven’t woken up to that Tauren are just another re-imagined Minotaur
