I’d say genetically that’s true though. Tyrande was born in Suramar after all. They’re all biologically compatible. The differences lie in their societies. I was so relieved to see that the affliction that apparently compels thalassian women to find a human man and marry him as fast as possible doesn’t extend to Thalassian men too.

because blood elves ARENT void elves. void elves are just a garbage fanfic race that was made up.
Sometimes I wonder whether it’s the purity of the fact that the wrath Silver Covenant NPCs were all so pale they were using DK-exclusive skins from the blood elf palette (void and blood elves usually have a bit more color in those cheeks)

Blizz released void elves mostly so alliance could play a belf, since that was a huge request since bc.
Also speaking of canon… did you mayhaps play legion? Its all there as far as lore.
Most Velf lore is in the scenario to unlock them. Legion’s Void stuff was just Alleria.

- nobody was asking for void elves before they introduced them.
- everybody was asking for HIGH ELVES. NOT VOID ELVES.
- legion was about the BURNING LEGION. the void elves where a last minute shoe horn done by the lore devs cause blizzard to this day refises to do high elves even though VERESSA WINDRUNNER AND NUMEROUS OTHER ELVES ARE STILL HIGH ELVES.

alleria was never a void elf. the devs just shoehorned her into being one because they couldbt be bothered to make AN ACTUAL ELF LEADER FOR THEM LIKE IDK THAT ONE XALNATH ELF or whatever everyone crows about.

Yes, and look where we are now. After patch 9.1.5, a large amount of the High Elf community have moved on. Think about it, why are the High Elf threads now somewhat rare to see.
It’s okay bread, just take a deep breath.
You can think they’re garbage, but they are definitely canon.

I would be for story for both show casing High Elf story on both sides, whether about the Wayfarers for VEs or High Elves returning to Quel’thalas under the Blood Elf banner like Lanesh whose been present w Blood Elves since MOP.
They could even go so far as to give both a racial like the Eredar for Draenei get, where it’s changed slightly to nod to the fact. Or just let both sides have a sub race system access to changing the name.
