Can we finally get playable the high elves?

That’s what I felt when people pressured blizz to make VE’s their HE’s. Now there is no difference between BE/VE/HE’s other then say hairstyle.

Well they can fix that by giving more options for distinction, not force everyone neutral and cause the extinction of the game.

They could also just make the rest of the HEs into VEs and say their HE form only comes through sometimes.

We are going in to the worldsoul saga with alleria as a main character.
Seems like its the void elves time to shine to me

When both races have the same appearances, it does not matter how much distinction you give, they are already still watered down to the sane exact look. This would be a valid arguement if VE’s never got non-tenticle/pale skin appearance, but unfortunatly the damage was already done.

That will not fly well, specially for people that wants to RP HE that threw away magic, and fought against the addiction.

Alleria is not a 1 to 1 to VE, she is a different beast. Unless i see umbric doing something with the faction, I do not think VE as a faction is going to do anything meaningful except be a stand in for HE’s at this point.

The only reunification the average helfer wants is a scenario where high elves get to fully supplant the 4 elven subraces and a total reversion to wc2

I must not be the average helfer because I want:

  1. No unification. Just a bad idea and no one is going to be happy with it.
  2. If Unification is unavoidable, then create a federation of separation nations. Blood Elves have Quel’Thalas, Nightborne have Suramar, Night Elves have their new World Tree, Void Elves have the Telogrus Rift, and High Elves have Dalaran. They can be like the original alliance: allied in a strong pact, with no one leader or nation standing above the rest.

None of this is true. Even people from the same race irl aren’t always allied/neutral. There are distinctions in looks and cultures. What you want is forced assimilation. It’s the most boring, toxic idea.

Some have suggested it as a bandaid pull because the intro of new NPCs is always a tease.

With all due respect, how much more do elves need? Elves have their own cities/areas (Dalaran, new World Tree, Silvermoon) while other races have nothing more than a wee camp in Orgrimmar with a tent and a dream. Elves have tons of customization options that allow players endless choices to make their elf look and roleplay as a High Elf. Download TRP and have at.

Let Blizz give the non-elves a chance at neat stuff too!

That logic fails, as not all Elves are listed as the same playable race.

Moving on.

We want Quel’dorei. Not Sin’dorei.

They did.

People aren’t playing them for a reason. They want the Elves. The real, true Elves who never left the Alliance.

void elves are functionally high elves except for turning purple occasionally

which i see as a bonus because my velf is a disc priest.

my real problem is void elves having british accents. why on earth do they have that accent

We playing different games here?

They look alike sanse hairstyles. The only difference was tenticles and skin/eye color, both of which is negated with SL customizations.

That is not an arguement to what i just said.

You didn’t bother reading anything I wrote. But sure if you want to play that game, we are not. Because I’m playing a game where these two are different races that don’t even get along, with different faction alliances.

It’s not an argument, it’s a comment. And it is what some have suggested, if they never give the ability to ever play with the race name being High Elf.

If there ever were a such thing as true elves, it’d be the ones that did not abandon their kingdom to go live with and bed with humans.

what options for distinction would they implement that we dont have

their pitfall was the handling of belf lore post-tbc, added customization for belfs and fewer faction barriers muddied the few distinguishing features between belfs and helfs. they werent radically different to begin with, the splits between quel’thalas elves are all very recent

im on an rp realm and the high elf roleplayers get by just fine with what we have

the elf nuts won’t be satisfied until there are dozens of elf races, all of which look identical to anyone who isn’t obsessed with lore, and all of which play exactly the same

i dont get it :sob:

blizz gave you all the tools to make a high elf. install trp3 and use your imagination

make your void elf not purple with blue eyes, wear a silver covenant tabard and ride a unicorn. youre a high elf now. we dont need a 4th (?) elf and a 3rd race that uses the blood elf rig (i suppose dracthyr counts as half)

(meant to post 2nd part as a reply below mb)

Void elves have asked for more old god and even ethereal options. Blood Elves have asked for more fel, San’layn or blood options and phoenix themes. For Helves it leans more into Nordic themes.

Go find the customization threads. They’ll give you an idea of what each wants that would set them very much apart.

im not opposed to any or all races getting more customization options. the more the merrier. im just against getting another race solely for high elves because its unnecessary

No. We just want 1 Elf in particular.

Quel’dorei.

You Sin’dorei aren’t it.
