Can we all admit that the Forsaken

Agaian going back to the context of WC3 and earlier. It was Lordaeron that took in the survivors of Stormwind Keep after it was burned to the ground at the end of the First War and the death of King Lane.

Murdering their embassy was a pretty poor way of saying “thanks”.

Jeebus would you all read more than one comment before posting. I didn’t make this thread to make a case for why the alliance should reclaim Lordaeron.

It is more complicated than you are portraying it.

You have to factor in the other things going on and the Alliance perspective.

  1. They were former members of the scourge, and it wasn’t clear at the time that they were the people from Lordaeron.
  2. They had just wiped out the last living forces of Lordaeron still in the territories, namely Garithos and his forces.
  3. They were in conflict with surviving forces of Dalaran.

There was legitimate reason for the Alliance to be cautious. With meta knowledge we can say, yes it was a bad thing. But I don’t think it rises to victimizing, especially when you consider the surrounding circumstances.

Though, personally, I kind of wish Blizzard has written it differently. I think WoW would have had a more interesting story if the Forsaken had joined the Alliance and the Night Elves joined the Horde. But, again, that is just my personal take.

My DK eats suffering for breakfast, Calia is the worst punishment I can ever receive

No.

Blizzard stuck them with Calia.

And then because she needed a Man , they somehow brought her Derek Proudmoore out of the dragon ashes in the sea….

The Forsaken have all sorts of drama queens established around them… with little actual focus on them.

I think they have it worst of us all. As a Blood Elf fan, my biggest complaint is mustache options. The poor Forsaken can’t even get a leader that deigns to look like them.

And for every broad that somehow has magic that keeps them pretty (Sylvanas, Calia) - the magic also keeps their boyfriends pretty. Like Nathanos and Calia’s Proudmoore friend.

Yet, the Forsaken Players don’t have those options.

Sigh… In all of my gaming history with WoW I can say this is one of if not the most common complain I had with Blizz… There are so very few MMO games that actually lets you play undead from the start with its own city and all… yet for some reason EVEN AFTER SL lore supporting it… the Forsaken have stay the same still…

I am really hoping when Forsaken get their turn to expand their culture Blizz goes ALL out, guns blazing… more CC, new body option or shapes from other races but in undead skins or skeletons we seen they exist in the game files as others types, new city… etc… no holding back giving players the opportunity to play their undead fantasy however they want with the a tool kit that can match up to the high expectation of today’s games.

Just an old rant for hopium that Undeath is further explore and become playable through the already establish Forsaken you can skip

I finish DA: Vanguard recently and was able to help one companion become a freaking LICH!!! One of the dialog option when my companion succeeded was: “I’m so Jealous”, obviously picking this because I really WAS JELLY! (since I was part of the faction same Mour Watch and the Necropolis Nation). This was after I help defeated a half-lich who fail the ritual and lost her ability to learn new spells as consequence. (Very interesting undead lore IMO)

And that companion look really cool as a Lich, he even had a glamor he use in public areas to hide his Lichdom! I was like: “AAAHHH I’M A NECROMANCER OF THE MOURN WATCH FROM THE NECROPOLIS NATION OF NEVARA, YOU BETTER MAKE ME A LICH AFTER SAVING YOUR WORLD!!!”
As banter talk between the Lich, a companion and me they also talk about Vampire and what they are in that world and how the Tevinter Imperium in their higher circles are rumored to have a something similar to the myth, specially among the more powerful blood mages, but sadly never saw what that look like in the Dragon Age universe.

TL;TR: Play Vailguard help one companion become a Lich and I was frustrated I could not become one let alone when I open my WoW and saw my undead option of Forsaken, DK or Darkfallen skins. Forsaken need to be expanded as a culture, and as undead race! I would add Classes too but we all know what they will say… you got DKs. lol

You know that’s likely never going to happen right? Blizz would be stupid to spoil ONE race with that much customization without spreading the love to the other races

Edit: All I’m saying is a lot of races ingame desperately need some love and attention. It’s not a uniquely forsaken issue.

Forsaken are great. If it wasn’t for MHPs owning the battle for some nonexplained reason the Undead of the Horde would control all of Lordaeron by now.

FATALITYYYY!! (My hoping heart just been rip out of my chest and crush with this reality check, just like a Mortal Combat fatality moment! LMAO!)

Joking to the side, agreed… and to be fair after playing some of the award winning RPG out there from last year… the expectation for stories in the RPG games and more fantasy theme options have gotten way to high for an online service or even normal single games to realistically keep up (specially if it was not a focus or was very low priority in the development to begin with) after covid. (IMO)

I really hard to keep the expectations of such entertainment grounded nowadays.

Sorry I didn’t reply on discord the other day buddy when you wrote me I was in a Virtual Zoom meeting could not reply and after that I forgot… it has been a crazy busy month. Ill hit you up when I get a chance! :+1:

Only Humans are allowed to have that much attention.

Well, stormwind sucks and never should’ve been rebuilt. :dracthyr_nod:

Stormwind is one of the best cities in wow only second to Silvermoon.

Spelt Gilneas wrong. :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

And hell, even Ironforge blows Stormwind out of the water. So does Suramar and Zandalar

I don’t get where this comes from.
Humans have been largely absent.
Night elves dominated the story more thoroughly and for far longer than humans.

Human customization options are a bottomless pit compared to others.

Orcs have a lot of customization too.

I am going to file this under ‘to each their own.’

Personally, I don’t care for the underground aesthetic. So, for me Stormwind is better than Ironforge. Though, I would say Gilneas is better then both Stormwind and Silvermoon.

I want to point out that everyone who complains about the hillsbrad stuff, never actually did the questing, Stillwater didn’t do any of that on orders he even ends up being executed by the forsaken. You all are just mad about something the forsaken themselves punished him for

I’m more annoyed that he was either brought back intentionally in universe, or Blizzard kind of forgot about his death (either from the hordes hands or the plant vs zombie mini game) when it came to the Legion prepatch. As he is present there fighting Demons.

I’m going with the latter as there are other NPC’s that should be dead but got the “somehow X returned” treatment out of nowhere. Such as the new leader of the Dragonmaw Clan. Alliance players kill him in Wetlands questing.

My theory is that it was just incompetance, the zone writers just looked up the names of forsaken npcs and slapped them in.
