Thats not even close to how pay 2 win works lmfao.
So if they banned GDKPs all the bots would disappear then? Hahahahahahahahah
Both of those things are incredibly toxic to the game even without the RMT aspect.
Exactly. I’ve always wondered if the sweat lords chilled for a bit and if we could get rid of the other aspects that encourage RMT, how great this game would be.
It was the nice thing about Wildstar. There really wasn’t any RMT, because the game was so freaking hard in all aspects that you couldn’t carry anyone, ever. Even questing lol.
There was no RMT in wildstar because the game died in 4 months. That was the worst possible game for you to quote, link me your top ten ohmna kill or stop posting. Wildstar was the SWEATIEST MMO OF ALL TIME.
Oh and people we’re still paying out the butt in that short window for 4 slot crafted gear, that they axed after 1 month. Like hundreds of dollars for pieces during DS prog.
Keep up the good fight.
I just report 'em because it’s one less GDKP spamming in chat for people’s gold.
The fact they get banned is just icing on top of the cake.
And yeah, all the bots existing is their fault. They’re grinding gold for GDKP to buy.
I don’t think false reports are taken seriously and probably nothing will happen to em… even if they’re reporting something like that, no matter how silly it is.
You play WoW. In doing so, you contribute to an online ecosystem that is enticing for others to play in. This attacts players who then decide to buy gold to increase their enjoyment of the game.
I’ve reported you both for encouraging swiper attitudes lmao no sympathy for dirty losers like you.
Found the botter, wasn’t hard.
And nah, I play WoW normally.
If gold-buying gets out of hand, I’m out.
Anyway enjoy your reports, you’ll never be able keep your stuff because it’s all ill-gotten.
Enjoy
And in doing so, indirectly encourage botting and gold buying. Reported.
For the record, I’ve never done a GDKP but it’s cute to me that you jumped to that conclusion.
There’s only one reason to defend botting/gold-buying, and that must be because you benefit from it.
It’s not hard to deduce.
Anyway, gold-buying is dumb, I don’t see how anyone who does it feels any sense of accomplishment.
It’s like playing with cheat codes on, or having stuff handed to you- you didn’t earn it.
Just throwing money into the void to get an edge over strangers on the internet, is pathetic.
The only people I see doing this, are folks who’s real lives are so bad, they overinvest in the game, causing their IRL problems to become even worse. All their enjoyment from life comes from having more than others in WoW. That’s a sad existence.
I’m glad I breathe oxygen and WoW is nothing more than a meme video game to me.
Would never spend more than the sub fee.
And I’m glad y’all can never follow me into games where you can’t pay to win.
Ive never lost a gold, I’ll never be banned. But you will eventually for false reports, one of only two things the auto banner bans =]. Be mad eternal my friend, it warms my soul.
I’m not defending botting/gold-buying. I’m pointing out how patently dumb the position is that “GDKPs can facilitate RMT therefore everyone who ever does a GDKP deserves to be banned” because everything every player does in WoW facilitates RMT in some way.
It’s easy to see it promotes gold-buying.
Check AH prices on era, it’s dead for anyone that plays casually and doesn’t buy gold or has a hoard they’re sitting on.
Folks just don’t want the same thing happening here.
Stuff should be reasonably priced, and GDKPs should never make up the majority of raid groups.
I always thought holding loot hostage until someone pays you for it was a dumb idea in the first place, when you could’ve done a non-GDKP and rolled on it and won for free.
GDKPs are for people that have no patience, don’t want to be rolled against, and CERTAINLY don’t care about the health of the game.
They spearhead RMT, it’s easy to see.
There’s a cause-and-effect and y’all just are ignoring it.
The bots are the effect, rampant GDKP is the cause. If everyone buys gold, it kills the game for anyone that doesn’t.
I’d honestly say well deserved for trying to host a GDKP for level 25 content
Personally, I see GDKP as a natural evolution in Classic.
Guilds were necessary back in the day because end-game content could not be PUG’d. MS > OS PUGs are now tenable but there’s no incentive for players to run them once they have all their gear. That’s where GDKPs arise to fill in the gap.
And yes, people would buy gold and bots even if GDKP was banned. Just as people bought gold and level boosts from the “Chinese gold farmers” 16 years ago in Vanilla, before GDKP even existed.
There were GDKPs in 2005, Cough weren’t as popular because most of the people playing didn’t have the adult money they do now.
So how about you show us how it’s being spear headed and how to actually fix the RMT issue? Your problem seems to be more with RMT than anything… yet you rather focus on GDKPs. I’m going to make an assumption of my own, you’re broke, have no gold and can’t afford to do a GDKP so you focus on that rather than the actual issue… RMT.
No, they weren’t popular because we were all terrible at the game back then and PuGs were infamous as a good way to spend three hours racking up a repair bill with nothing to show for it.
GDKPs work today because we have this game datamined and stripped down so much to remove all the challenges that Guilds used to tackle.
Just look at how few people cleared Naxx 40 in Vanilla versus today.
Ah yes, Every GDPK defender’s Counter arguement.
