Not every GDKP involves rmt, shocker I know… in fact nothing I’ve ever seen in all my runs or across others runs even smelled like rmt.
Most items go for like 5g to maybe in the 40s depending on how BiS it was.
Epics I’ve seen anywhere between 50-100, most expensive I ever saw was staff for 150g. However some other run the staff went for 65.
None of these are outrageous numbers, all reasonable
I’d venture and educated guess that at least one participant in every GDKP that’s happened in the last 2 years in every version of classic has a RMT gold buyer.
I’d a pretty good assumption that every GDKP does in some direct or indirect way involve RMT.
It’s nice to see that some GDKPs are luckier than any raid I’ve been in and that someone swiped their credit card to better gear than me though, feels great!

So ban gold buyers then, not legal GDKPers
I agree, but there are two core reasons we have gold buyers.
Without those two things, RMT would go down significantly.

We should for a phase and see the effect imo, it’d only take turning off the enhanced combat logging option. Prob an on/off switch in the command window for the servers.
There is zero reason people should be acting like they are parse culture wise with level 25 temporary content. It’s obvious that it’s gotten out of control.
BUT, I’ve known many people who plan what GDKP runs they’re going to do out in such a way that they can make sure their G2G order arrives prior to the raid starting. So yes, GDKPs drive RMT. Even “in guild” ones.
We started running in guild GDKPs for the heck of it at the end of Vanilla Classic before TBC launched and two raiders went from always broke to a bidding war up to 10k for one of the mounts. So yea, every GDKP I’ve been in has had sus bids. And anything in BFD that’s over 20-30 gold, even for an epic, is super sus.
This is only even an issue in retail.
Even the Wrath Token is only for game time, you cannot convert it into BNet Balance.
Parse culture is annoying, but logging itself is extremely useful.

Lots of quests are giving almost 2g each at 25…
Also that doesn’t really make sense, when we didn’t do GDKPs almost the entire raid was hitting 95s and higher each boss, just as long as you had your world buffs. People naturally want to gamify stuff like that
I’ve done almost all the quests, farmed a LOT and bought everything vendor wise with every run. I don’t have an AH habit other than selling and my bank acount is around 50 gold right now.
The, “BuT tEh QuEsTs!!!” is a bunch of hockey. I’ve also got almost 12 days played on this guy, nearly a THIRD of the time that SoD has been out. I sincerely think that anyone who has legitimately gotten more than 200ish gold (with a couple of exceptions of guys I know who play even more than I do and have gotten lucky with BoE drops) is doing something suspicious.

No, I 100% understand GDKP.
My bank account is low, I need gold for GDKP. Let me swipe my credit card and get the monies I need to bid up to 300 gold for an epic if it drops. For crying out loud people are posting videos about saying something costs X dollars and not Y gold lately. It’s gotten that bad.

Well, selling carries isn’t as bad tbh. It’s still shady, but not what GDKPs are.
You won’t get as many with SoD though, since the driving force behind carries is the AotC chieves.
This has to be a lie, I had around 30g within the first 4 days of SoD. Granted we spammed dungeons from 20-25 but still. Most of my guildies who don’t GDKP or buy gold have over 100g through regular play and alting
It’s the exact same thing you oaf, everyone just gets in on the gold not a handful. And no, carries come with “extra loot” we don’t need. Selling extra tier and leafs/eyes is literally how gdkp started kekw.
