The GDKP ban means nothing BECAUSE they won’t do the things you’re talking about. First step ONLY MATTERS, if it’s not THE ONLY STEP.
JFC why do I have to hold your hand and spoon feed this to you?
The RMT will happen anyway, has been happening REGARDLESS as a BOOMING BUSINESS, for 20 years. If Blizzard is lucky enough to somehow not sink this game, it’ll boom for another 20 years. GDKP is not the problem.
I have literally just said they need to do more, ban gold buyers more aggressively, and ban bots more aggressively.
What part of that is shutting me up and taking the placebo pill?
We agree they should ban bots, we agree there’s still RMT and they should do more.
What I’m saying is banning GDKP’s is a positive step to reducing RMT and you both agreed and said it did have some positive effect.
So what is the problem? It’s like you’re just screaming into the void for no reason even tho you agree banning GDKP’s reduced RMT and had some positive effect.
You should be pushing to ban more botters and gold buyers, NOT pushing to bring back GDKP’s if you want to continue to reduce RMT.
The positive effect doesn’t exist. The RMT happens regardless? The positive effect is that they can see the gold trades easier and then NOT do anything with that information? How is this positive in your eyes? Please explain. Without repeating “it’s positive because I can’t possibly comprehend that they aren’t doing anything besides banning GDKP”.
That’s it. They set up a 1 step plan to make you all believe RMT is no more. They will not ban the bots. They will not ban RMTers for more than a few days. They will do nothing. And you will all believe it’s problem solved, while your guildies swipe away so they can raid log. But atleast now the amount of gold per swipe on average is lower right?
We already described how the ~5 BOE’s that both of you named is much less of an issue than numerous raid items from numerous raids tiers encouraging RMT via GDKP’s.
You guys proved my point there. That is a positive step. Removing the GDKP ban would be a negative and a step backwards.
You all seem to be stuck on “Well RMT happens anyway so unban GDKP’s”. Even tho both of you guys just agreed it has SOME positive benefit.
They need to do more, we agree there too.
So what the hell is the point of screaming about unbanning GDKP’s which would be a step backwards.
To me it’s just desperation for this loot system, and feigning ignorance about how badly GDKP’s do incentivize and encourage RMT.
Because removal of GDKP is a cop out that is an invisible step forward.
The positive effect isn’t used because they don’t follow through on bans.
IF, they did that, I’d agree with you. However, they don’t, and won’t.
We’re in the worst of both worlds state, where now I simply will not go to pugs even if I need loot from the raid because it’s not worth the issues of pug groups when content doesn’t literally fall over when you sneeze on it. The playerbase can not handle content more difficult than the bare minimum and even that is a stretch.
My guild that was able to kill prenerf vashj/kt ran into roster issues during SWP and gave up without killing M’uru. I got my only kills in GDKP’s and a guild that PAID ME, to play arms for them despite not having full clear logs. I made like 3k for going to a SWP as an arms warrior lol
