What is the number of BOE’s that are actively bought for extremely high amounts of gold on the auction house?
Maybe 3? 5? total, the biggest one I can think of is edgemasters.
Now, how many items are there in every raid that people will bid up, 20, 30, 50? throughout all raid tiers.
It’s pretty easy to see.
GDKP Raids are a systematic way of encouraging gold buying for thousands of players every single week and on multiple toons in multiple raids.
It’s crazy that you’re arguing this do you really believe 3-5 items is worse than every other item in all the raid tiers between multiple raids every single week?

NR sets, FrR sets (specifically rings pre-Naxx will go for a lot, during Naxx crafted pieces and their materials are very expensive), FR crafted pieces (during MC), Edgemasters, Warden Staff, Lionheart Helm, Titanic Leggings (post-aq), Sageblade (iirc prot pala pre-bis), Cloudkeepers, Freezing Band, +Shadow damage pieces (warlocks use +shadow damage greens as pre-bis), Black Dragonscale (3p of this is P1 bis for warriors btw), Axe of the Deep Woods, Flurry Axe. I’m forgetting stuff I swear.
How about all the materials people will need for 0.5 chain? Rogues use 4p Darkmantle as their bis until Naxx, that’s not cheap.
None of this includes the amount of people who simply raid log and swipe for consumes, or swipe for their epic riding, which has been going on for decades (plural).
Oh, and none of this also includes people who PvP seriously who will burn through stacks on stacks of things like FAPs, LIPs, LAPs, resist pots, grenades, magic dust, rogues needing tons of blinding powder, thistle tea, etc.
How about professions in general? Plenty of people RMT just to blast through their prof leveling in one go without having to farm.
Oh, I can keep going btw, for serious speedrunner types, they drink Distilled Wisdom flasks like mana pots.

Then Fire/Frost/Nature resist greebs are sold for much much less gold, it’s not even comparable.
And consumes are sold for much much less gold compared to thousands for edgemasters or maybe freezing band
Again, both of you proved my point it’s a much much smaller issue that costs much less gold for every single example you named.
It’s really not comparable, and it’s much better than the numerous raid items in every raid.
You are proving my point, but just refuse to acknowledge that say ~5 items being massively inflated is better than way more than that throughout every raid tier.

It’s just the level of arguing in bad faith that I hate in regards to stuff like this, if you’re being objective and honest you’d admit that it’s a much smaller issue for the ~5 BOE’s compared to all the items in GDKP raids throughout multiple tiers.

My whole point was that the AH has a massive amount of RMT running through it. A lot more than most people realize.
I’ve never once said that it’s a bigger source of RMT.
