I bet if you put in a quarter of the time and effort, some girl would let you touch her boob.
Well I got to rank 11 on my warrior back in vanilla on a high pop server and I was playing easily 10 hours a day. I knew a guy who tried to pay someone to get rank 14 for him and the guy could only get to 13 basically playing all day as a job. One thing people don’t talk about which is really important is in order to get rank 14 you are going to need to do some networking on your realm most likely. You need to be running with the very best groups and you need to know a lot of the good pvpers. At least that’s how it was “back in the day”. Don’t think you can run with random groups from ironforge or your guild and think you are getting rank 14. You could probably get to 11-12 that way if you were really committed but the last few ranks no way unless your server is really underpopulated
What about the lack of weapon though? I hate raiding/PvE so I’m kind of wondering what my progression would look like considering there is no PvP weapon until R14? And I am never getting Rank 14.
well as a student you have 10X more free time than a working adult so…
good chances.
-Log in when you get home.
-Stay up all night
-Sleep at school.
-Repeat.
Sure as long as you dont mind repeating all your classes.
When Blizz turns off the servers in five or ten years, you will have your bitmaps to remember your accomplisment by. Some day your grandkids will admire the files on your thumbdrive.
You’re assuming that someone who achieves rank 14 is capable of having a child?! You’re thinking very highly of them!
Not if you are in class 30-35 hours a week.
Don’t do it while school is in session. Just get yourself in the highest rank possible without sacrificing your grades. Then go nuts during summer vacation with the 10-12 hour honor grinds.
NO, NO and NO
“Rank 14 required 60000 Rating Points. With Standing 1 you got 13000, and you lost 20% every week. According to that formula, the 12th week you’d have 65136 Rating Points, so from rank 0 to 14 you had to be Standing 1 for 12 weeks in a row. Lower standings gave lower RP, so if you got a too low standing the 20% loss would outweigh the gain you did and put you back. Also of course the higher your rank, the bigger the 20% punishment so standing 1 isn’t worth as much % of your bar on high ranks as it was on low ranks. We didn’t know any of this back then though. We didn’t even have a progress bar to the next level in the PvP panel. In other words you could log in at the same rank 3 weeks in a row and not know if you’re making progress or losing it. Though even after they added the rank progress bar in patch 1.6, it was still heart crushing to log in and find out you had actually LOST rank progress after playing for 18 hours a day for a week. So I’m not sure which way I preferred it. However, I ended up dreading opening the PvP tab when I logged in every Wednesday.”
My story of getting PvP Rank 14 in WoW’s very first honor system back in 2005

You’re not going to want to look back on your high school memories as being a grimy neckbeard locked in his room playing a 15 year old videogame every night until 2 am. It’s not worth it. Get out and experience life. Also, you’re young and your body & mind are still developing - shorting yourself on sleep at this point in your life is truly not a good idea. I still regret how much of my college days I wasted being glued to this game…very thankful that I got a normal high school experience at least. You’ll really stunt your personal development if you try to play videogames on anything besides a casual basis this early in your life.
To be honest though, you still won’t be able to compete with people that play literally all day, every day, with no job, school, or responsibilities. And there will be people like that.
Technically you can grind to 14 afk 98% of the time. If you have a group of high ranked players, everyone on opposing team will just leave the match anyway… but you have to be there to actually click the button to queue etc…
You should be grinding cheerleaders instead but whatevs…
Really bad idea. Your school will definitively suffer as it requires you to play the game 14-16 hours a day, besides it would (hopefully) really piss your parents off.
That kind of grind is more meant for adults who are stable in life or on a forced hiatus.
can you imagine working at mcdonald for the rest of your life because you wanted to have a nice pvp weapon that will become irrelevant during phase 3
You’re a kid for 15 % of your life
30 min in the shower eh?
No you aren’t going to be able to do it:
can you imagine playing 16 hours a day just to get a nice weapon then during phase 4 every body can just buy the weapon with honor since NAX make it irrelevant anyway.
You will fail as a student. You need 8+ hours per day for a long long time.
