I keep the profanity filter on because my brain always imagines something funnier.
we’ve gone far passed the point where the ‘cure’ is worse than the problem. the only people who dont see that are authoritarians. be they boots or bootlickers it is the same flawed ideology.
I don’t remember it being that involved in Wrath. And considering 13 year old me actually got a moderator to intervene on a loot dispute back then, it couldn’t have been that hard to report stuff.
I don’t think its ease of reporting. I think its an attitude shift.
Once again parents who want others to look after what their kids see/do ruin everything.
I do not disagree with that. Parents should parent and not turn kids over to TV, phones, games, movies, etc.
Regardless, those that did the protesting and congressional testifying. Those who thought D&D was satanic. Those that thought music was devil worship and needed parental warnings all over it. Those people are at the root of this - because nobody wants to get dragged into court with lawsuits.
Respectfully friend, I read the conversation before I made the judgement. They had made other comments that now look deleted.
no. the problem was people going along with it. hitler would have been naught but a windbag if people didnt listen.
the problem is half authority, and half people bowing to it. without the latter, the former cant exist. so stop complying, and become part of the solution.
There were other comments made that were an attack on gender identity and dismissive towards gender expression.
too bad there is no way to no for sure thanks to censorship, eh? almost as though the idea retards communication. as has been my stance this entire thread.
Keep that attitude when dealing with your landlord
Very fortunate for you that those comments are gone, I’m sure
I own my house.
(or I will in 2053)
I’ll never forget they even had a protest at my school growing up because we played D&D and we all thought why would you care if we’re playing it we’re not you’re children. They closed our table top club because of them I’m still salty about this.
eats house
with the difference being you can paint me as transphobic while i cant explain the truth of my stance and my reasoning for it.
but i will give you this hint; im a Humanist.
You can explain it right now. If my read of your comments dismissing gender identity was mistaken, you are welcome to correct my views.
im not going to let another one of you fanatics draw me into a unrelated debate to derail this topic again. if you want my thoughts on the topic open a thread elsewhere and link it. preferably somewhere i wont get banned for stating facts.
Then respectfully, I will hold onto my views. You called me a fanatic, I said your statement was transphobic, so we are at an impasse. Ironic since you said you “couldn’t even explain yourself”.
I taught at a religious school. I hosted the celtic club, and let the Warhammer kiddos meet in my room. One of the social studies teachers had the D&D kids.
Those were not official so as not to set off the parents, but they were fantastic activities. Lots of creative writing, problem solving, statistics, etc. Oh, and fun.
no, the problem is people who put more stock into how something is said than the what. its a litmus test. if you drop a cuss halfway through a lengthy discussion articulating a point, and they use that cuss word as justification to dismiss everything else they said it, once again, inhibits actual communication.
you lot intentionally ignore the actual MEANING of what is said, if they arent kowtowing to your ideals of ‘right speech’ in the process. which, conveniently, is impossible to do while disagreeing with someone.
edit - or to put it another way… just because someone is a jerk doesnt mean they are wrong. but you are wrong if you claim it does.
