Yeah, but that is mostly I’ve seen 6 yo swear and say thigns I wouldn’t even think about. We had to wonder where they got it from.

There is a warning. There are consequences for breaking rules. You can scream 6 year old over and over and over in a very ironic tantrum but the rules don’t change.

This is not an excuse. I also cuss like a sailor but strangely enough I don’t cuss in game or at job. In fact if people are uncomfortable with it I don’t cuss around them either. Because I wish to treat people in a way that they feel comfortable around me. It not like my entire vocabulary is nothing but cuss words and I am unable to have a conversation without them. I make an effort to be considerate of people and places. I also try to follow the rules that I have agree to follow. If I found those rules unreasonable I would not have opted to play WoW in the first place.

Crystal clear or not, hardly anyone follows it anyway. Pugs are just as toxic as they ever were. Granted it’s not always swearing that is involved. But they still have smack talk and vote kicking. I’m trying to say that this contract just annoys people. It hasn’t improved the community

its made it worse by far. what i have seen in game, especially on the forums, is far FAR more toxic than when i played last, in 2004.

People are big mad in this thread that there is a warning and swear they are actioned constantly.
They are liking your post despite it being the opposite of everything they’ve been claiming that literally anything gets you banned.
Its Schrödinger’s CoC: Are they banning everyone for the slightest infraction, or, is it a free reign to be as toxic as you want as if everyones doing it they must not take action against it?

I think the amount of times you’d have to say “fudge” to have fudge alone get you suspended would be at a rate we would generally be ok with
I would be willing to guess that when people feel saying “fudge” is what got them suspended, there is typically more going on

i read a study once that showed people who swear more often are generally more sincere. which tracks with my experience. all these people crusading against naughty words i wouldnt trust to care for a hamster.
