That is how we are two different people and that is the point of an mmorpg. You can be the clear language guy, I can swear like a sailor, that is what makes the world feel alive.
I guarantee the kids are using much worse words than what is usually thrown around in game. Being afraid of curse words has never been a merit and letting other people’s words affect you to such a degree as to be offended is quite frankly, a weakness.

I never got my mouth washed out with soap but i do love the flavor of soap gum. Guess washing my mouth out with soap wouldn’t have done much

It is very very easy to socialize without swearing at people.
Swearing like a sailor has been part of mixed company as well since centuries. Welcome to the real world.
I play an MMORPG to roleplay and game. I can do that without swearing in public. I have sworn in whispers and guild for 20 years. Its not hard to click off a warning (which I disabled) and not do it in public.
New people who meet me learn really quickly that i like to swear.

And I play MMORPG to meet and play with all types and swearing public has been a thing so normal that it has been shown in old roman scripts.
Try it in a courtroom.
It’s almost like theres a time and place with rules in each location dictating what is acceptable. As a teenager I had parents tell me I couldnt do that in their homes. I didnt or I wasnt allowed there.

Court isn’t considered “real world” because there are judges who are unhinged as hell. Look at the one judge who tried to send a 16 yo girl to prison for falling asleep in his court. F that. That isn’t normal. Courts are not a normal environment at all.

And has gotten people kicked out of places for centuries too. Adults realize there is a time and a place for things… that swearing is not some cool kid badge of courage.
People are free to do it, but they should not be shocked when others don’t want them around or remove them from their private property. (or fire them, or give them detention, or whatever).
And yes, the rules are the same across all Blizzard platforms. You can’t use profanity or masked profanity here either. You might want to review this. Just don’t be upset or surprised when you deal with the consequences of your decisions.
