Maybe an addon issue. But, consider posting in the technical support or customer support forums.
Following style is what snaps it back to center forward. You want following style set to Never.
Interface Options → Camera → Camera Following Style set to Never
Im having the same issue with this expac. I deleted the WTF Folder, and deleted the interface folder and still does it with no addons and with Camera Following Style set to Never.
This thread seems to have seen at least one instance of success resetting camera cvar values to default, then logging out, and the issue being resolved when logging back in. Their problem was slightly different, but maybe the reset steps will help with your problem, also.
