The fanfiction scene really do be like that tbh. We operate off modifying canon storylines and adding in our head-canons. If you were into anime back in the 2000s/2010s then you’d remember how many people would argue about Naruto pairings and looking back it’s kinda weird how a bunch of teenagers were fighting over which kid ninja was dating who

And to add a qualifier to this, i primarily mean by the person you’re in a relationship with. Doing so with a stranger could end in a court case. 
Oh yes, but I have not been spared this mercy when I see Body 1 and Body 2 mentioned all over the forum, articles online, on Dragonflight images, in Dragonflight creation videos, in Youtube comments, reddit, Wowhead and all the LGBTQ+ "T"roll threads that have cropped up and let’s see how wound up one person can get over some text on a screen when it’s repeatedly shoved in their face.

To anyone that has their pronouns stated, you wanted to ask for receipts of the dragons biology. That’s your definition for changing what you call someone, or only until every REFERENCE of them and their name is ‘corrected’ to the ‘right one’ despite the writer telling you outright which pronouns to use.
